Dolphins in Depth:Here's your chance to get up close and personal with a playful Dolphin. You値l first explore the backstage areas where these amazing mammals are cared for and learn about the research being conducted at Epcot痴Living Seas pavilion. After this portion of the tour, you値l enter into waist deep water to interact with these fascinating creatures. You値l receive a photograph with the dolphin, refreshments and a T-shirt. PLEASE NOTE: No swimming or SCUBA diving is required. No cameras or jewelry are permitted and expectant mothers cannot participate. The dolphin determines the level of interaction.
How do I sign up for this? We're going at the end of the month for a few days (wahoo!) and I'd LOVE to surprise Hubs with this since we always talk about Discovery Cove when we are in Jamaica -- this might be the perfect alternative since we're doing WDW this year instead.

Just call the normal reservation line, if I remember correctly its the same one you use to make dinning reservations, and make the reservation. If you have a disney visa and book it on that you get a % off, 15% I think. I booked this for Dsis on our last trip and she loved it.
Actually, it's better to call the Tour line directly to book. 407-WDW-TOUR (407-828-8687) While you can call the regular reservation line, the CMs on the Tour line are better able to answer any questions you may have.
Make sure you have more than one day in mind as they only take a small number of guests per tour (there were 8 on our tour a few years ago).
Also, be aware that this is NOT swimming with the dolphins. You will be in the water with the dolphins for 30 minutes but you will be standing on a platform that is waist deep in the water and you will be interacting with the dolphins and their researchers/trainers. You will get a picture taken with the dolphins but that's as close to "swimming" with them as you will get. Also the dolphins are not forced into any interaction with the tour participants. If the dolphins don't feel like participating that day, the researchers/trainers don't make them.
This is an educational tour where you learn about the research Disney is doing into Dolphins. I loved this tour and would do it again.
