Lame Idea? Or Awesome?

My little boy (4) absolutely loved doing the pirate's league last year. When I made him a reservation for this trip to do it again, he asked if Mommy and Daddy could be pirates too? I thought, sure, why not? So I made a ressie for me and dh too thinking it would make an awesome family picture. Especially considering I got us all personalized pirate mickey tshirts from etsy. Now I am seriously reconsidering... You guys know of anyone who have done this? I am thinking I may feel kinda silly walking around as a pirate empress all day lol. What do you think?

Caribbean buses seem to all have a picture of Dad and son dressed as pirates. You may look silly and feel silly but it is great fun for the whole family. Still have that image on the poster burned into my brain.

Sounds like great fun! And, kudos to your little guy for trying to make it a family activity.

Where else but Disney could you do this?

Our family wears matching shirts every day--including one set that are pin. We have donned Santa hats, reindeer headbands, and clown noses.

Have a great trip!

If you would have a lot of family fun then go for it .

There is a lot of variety in how people are dressed at Disney parks - it is the people who are showing too much flesh that get raised eyebrows not the ones who are getting into the Disney spirit.

Do it. Before you know it, he will be grown. Make some fun memories for your family, and take lots of photos.

That's just adorable. I definitely think you should keep your reservations, too. What fun it will be to look back at photos of the three of you in the future!

I say do it!! If it will make your son happy and make family memories that will last a lifetime, do it. I don't think, especially at disney, you will stick out too much and will probably get some positive attention from cms and other guests.

Absolutely do it! He's four--and when you turn around, he'll be twenty-four (sob!) and truly not interested in having daddy and mommy share his magic moments. Don't pass up the chance to do something that might make you feel a bit silly in the "real" world; it's Disney and everyone will not only understand, they'll be jealous of your fun. Have a great time!
