Thank you! My wife and I are debating now whether we should do it again this year. Her argument is that she got cheated out of it last year. My argument is that I don't want to pay for it again, and I want to try getting a better (more center-on) viewing spot for Magic, Memories, and You and Wishes. We've always been over to one side. That said, she'll probably win and I'll do it again since we are planning 1 EMH night and 2 MVMCP nights.

I wasn't impressed with how they do the seating. You line up and they check everyone in manually off a list. As mentioned in the TR, they had our reservation but didn't have a table assigned to us. But they did handle it in typical Disney fashion and made room for us. The dessert spread was excellent, and everything I had was delicious. The location is an ok place to see the fireworks, but not the best for watching the MM&Y show since you are a little far away and off to the side. It is a good place to see Tinkerbell as she flies over your heads. For me, the real benefit is that you get to sit in a chair and relax (and eat sweet treats!) for the shows. You don't have to fight the crowds for a spot to watch Wishes.

So if I understand this correctly, this package entitles you to ONE "special" photopass card to be used for rides and restaurants. Can you include multiple "regular" photopass cards? We typically wind up with 3 or 4 of them because our family splits up quite a bit.

This also eliminates the option of sharing a photopass plus if you are travelling with another family - since you only have one special card.

Does anyone know if they've changed the regular photopass program? Can you still use multiple photopass cards?

We just did this and for us it worked out great. You can add multiple photopasses, so if your party breaks up it's no problem. You can also get multiple photos from the rides, so if you go on Rock n Roller Coaster a few times, you get all the pictures. The more pictures you do, the less it costs. We're at less then $1.50 a photo, and considering how expensive the photos are just for the rides, totally worth it. It also might force you to go on rides you didn't plan. My wife and I didn't really care about Tower of Terror but went on it since we basically paid for the picture. It ended up being one of our favorite rides. We didn't use it for Character Dining, however. We just hit every ride and every photographer (multiple times) in the parks.

We have taken pictures of the photo's up on the screen before too after a ride. Mostly because I don't remember it long enough to get to the counter to purchase it. LOL !

UPDATE:
Just got off the phone with photo pass....when you ask to upgrade your package or to order PhotoPass Plus - if you are going to be there more than 14 days ask to increase the days. They will contact a manager and then make it happen. There has been a DVC family approved for 20 days in the recent past. They have the ability to extend it but are advertising and doing 14 days as a rule of thumb. They will make exceptions, esp DVC as they know we sometimes stay longer.

Also MAJOR TIP HERE:
The photo pass is a one per family lanyard so say I go get a dole whip and DH and DS go ride splash mountain. ..
IF you know the number of the photo AND the attraction AND you go to photo pass people in that park on THAT day - the photo can be added to the package no charge. Don't wait till next day the photo will be deleted from their system.

ANOTHER TIP HERE:
If you arrive and say have a character meal before you can purchase your photo plus - buy the $31.95 package and KEEP RECEIPT....take it to them and they will credit that purchase toward the total PLUS price.

Im so excited....and I think I like it.....:the wave:

GASP!! What am I doing talking to everybody? I HAVE 14 days left AHHHHHHH...I gotta do progress reports and pack and clean the house and pick up my contacts and and and ......
WOW you really did your foot work. You asked questions I didn't think to ask. I think I might do it. Adult Mentally Challenged son loves to get his pictures with all the Characters(Minnie & Daisy & all the princes first). It will save on the ride pictures. Thank-you for the great update

Which rides have photos? Is it only roller coasters and more of the thrill rides?

I think new option is fantastic!
We usually end up purchasing at least one ride photo and a character meal photo too. However I was happy to just buy the download version of the ride photos to add to our photopass in 2011 - now we can get ALL of them - even the ones with eyes shut or arms blocking faces!
We stay around the 14 day mark so I will be sure to ask for an extension if we go over.
Now my only dream would be for the Paris and Tokyo parks to offer a version of Photopass this good...

We pre paid the $ 99. for the photo pass cd and are trying to decide if we will upgrade. We have bought photos at rides and so it may be the way to go.
And we don't have long to wait now !
