I'd like to start off with a lyric from one of my favorite WDW songs:

And we certainly do "go on". I'm really looking forward to the next "thousand circles"!
For those who are new to the journey, I joined the WDW family in 1/2009 in the College Program. I was a "non-traditional" participant, so packed up my kids and made the big move. What started as a 6 month program blossomed into a career over the last 3 years and has been full of new experiences.

First day at DAK Lodge was yesterday. AH-mazing! I had my property orientation which made me all verklempt several times. I still can't get my head around that I'm really here, getting to "work" at my favorite place. After the orientation, I had some time with my new boss, who is awesome, too. I had a few minutes with the GM (I'll have a formal meeting with her later) and had the opportunity to meet several of the other leaders around the resort. It was all a whirlwind and the day flew by.
I have my first regular shift tonight, shadowing the current leader and learning the ropes. I have 3 nights to gather all the information I need to run the operation, so it's going to be interesting. I'm already seeing some things I'd like to put my stamp on, but I need to remember I have time and not to try to do it all at once.
I'm with Julian, WOW!! What a great 4 chapters have preceded this 5th one. You continue to be an inspiration to follow your dreams. {{{Big Hugs}}} to you and your girls for coming so far in so little time.
Congratulations! I am so happy for you...what a journey...and thank you for sharing it all with us! You are truly an inspiration!!
