Is there a good spot at Downtown Disney to watch the fireworks?

I saw a poster mention that they could see some fireworks from Downtown Disney. Where would I need to be to see them? We are having dinner at T-Rex when we first arrive in town and thought it would be fun to stay in the area and watch some fireworks to get us ready for the start of our Disney vacation the next day!

I know in years past they used to have fireworks at DTD, but I'm fairly certain that there are not any fireworks there anymore. You need to be at Magic Kingdom for Wishes or IllumiNations in Epcot for nighttime shows. Fantasmic at Studios is great too.

Just confirming that the fireworks at Downtown Disney have been gone for a long time and I think it was before the clubs in Pleasure Island had closed, so it's got to be at least 5 years or more.

You might be albe to catch some of the higher Epcot fireworks, but I wouldn't go out of my way. Some of the hotels across the street do have fireworks views, but I'm betting it's the high up floors.

If you're by the water, you can get a glimpse of MK fireworks, and if you're somewhere with a view due west (Cirque du Soleil is due west, Marketplace is due east), you might get a glimpse of Epcot. But they're a fair distance away - 2 miles to Epcot, 5 miles to MK . It's kind of cool to see these if it comes as a surprise, but probably not something worth planning.

Thank you! I saw another poster talk about seeing them from Downtown Disney and I thought I might try to see them if I could. I really appreciate the info. Even a small peak from a good distance away will be magical for my little ones that will be with me!
