Resort window decorating
I want to know if people are still decorating their resort window anymore. I loved to decorate my window. It also made it so much easier to find the room when it was dark. If you are planning to decorate, what do you use.
Location: A little over 1000 miles from my happy place!
The last time we went in Dec 2009 we saw lots of windows decorated! I plan on decorating our room window this Dec with some Disney christmas scene window clings. Was thinking about using some lights too, but not sure how I would attach it to the window. Also thinking about doing a wreath too.
I have a Cameo machine and thought of making some window decals....they remove easily or i could put them on paper and hang them so they are not removed.
I think lights would be great also. We are driving down for christmas, so i would like to decorate our room for the holidays.
When we went for xmas 2010, I had bought special lights with suction cup hooks to decorate the window and some holiday gel window clings. We ended up with a room with two windows so we ran off to Target to buy a second strand of lights, more suction cup hooks and window clings. I had brought a timer and an extention cord with us as well. It was great, because with the timer on I knew our lights would turn on so everyone would see them, they would be on when we got back to the room making it easy to find, and i didn't have to worry abotu remembering to turn them off at night. this christmas I am bring it all back with us and requesting a room with two windows. it was great!!!!
In October, we brought Halloween decorations with us - window clings and small plastic jack-o-lanterns & skulls with flashing lights inside. We had no trouble finding our room every night! This year, we are taking an early November trip, but we are attending MVMCP. I'm torn as to whether I should bring Chrstmas decorations.
I bought some of those extra large coloring books and cut out 4 characters. I colored them and they hung out in the corners of the big window like they were peeking out, then we hung a Happy Birthday banner across the center of the window. Then we used some window markers to decorate the mirror in our room with a special note from Tink - We brought a small packet of the Windex disposable wipes to clean it before we left. We also brought an old plastic Mickey Mouse tablecloth from my sons bday and hung it over the door like a door cover. There's been Tinker Bell magic sprinkled in areas that special gifts were found - we used tape to pick up the glitter when we were done. We also brought new character pillowcases that magically appeared when we were at the parks. One day a slew of balloons covered our floor when we arrived and a special card signed by Mickey and Friends was there for their bday - we had it signed by characters the day before when they weren't looking.
we always decorate our room and windows no matter what time of the year my kids love to do the window clings and we usually use the table for stuffed animals or a christmas tree it is really cool i always get compliments when i go in and out of my room . i will see if i can find pictures i will post for you

When my mom and I went in Dec. 2009 I used Disney window clings I had found at Target. I also had a small little tree that I found in the dollar section at Target and some small ornaments and put that in the window also. I remember seeing lots of windows decorated with all different kinds of decorations.
Last October I bought window clings that were marked down after Halloween, they are in my suitcase ready to go. They are the princesses, pooh, and lightening Mcqueen in Halloween apparel. I am ready to decorate our window
Yes people still decorate. Window clings work great. If you have strings of lights you can use those as well. I visited Pop in December when my dad was working and almost everyone on the bottom floor had their windows done up. Actually they didn't just do the window the entire room was decorated.... here are a few photos:
