A Camera Question Ok we have a great digital camera with a 1G memory disk. We usually use our camera to record video instead of dragging around our old handycam. I know there are stations at WDW for downloading pictures off of your memory stick, but is there anywhere to download video and save it to a disk? We do have a laptop that I can bring with us if necessary to keep the memory card clear, but that would be one less thing to haul through the airport if there was some way to just do it at Disney.

Re: A Camera Question Transfering the data to a CD is just a file transfer thing (very technical term, huh? ) If they can transfer picture files, they can transfer movie files. If you really want confirmation, send a PM to WillCAD or call one of the camera stores (in the MK or Epcot, for example.) Good luck! Eileen

Re: A Camera Question well, i don't think that's true actually. not with the kiosks. i've never actually tried video from a card, but the way it works, i doubt it's possible. it MIGHT be possible at the what if labs in epcot. but that's the only place i can even think it might be possible.

Re: A Camera Question [b]Val... Another option is a data storage device. An adapter can be bought to allow an I-Pod to download and store digital cards if you already have an I-Pod with a 40GB drive or more. I'm using a Vosonic VP6230, it's physically larger than an I-Pod, but it has a 60GB hard drive and card readers for all the various card types. The thing I really like about it is that it is battery operated and is rechargable. While we're here in Hawaii, I'm shooting really big photo files and am only getting 70 photos on a 1GB CF card. I carry 3 cards and when I load the 3rd one into the camera, I take a few minutes to download the first two, check that they downloaded okay, then clear the cards and re-use them. I do the same thing for the XD cards in my Olympus C-770, and some of those files are photos, some are MPEG4's, it work on them all... Mine ran about $299 on the internet, and it was delivered in a couple of days. I don't have my computer with me this trip, so to give you more info, I'd have to get back home (I'll be there next Wednesday morning)...

Re: A Camera Question That sounds like an excellent option Bill but I probably waited to long considering that we are leaving at 6 on on Wednesday and Monday is a holiday. Ugh! Ahh well...I guess I will just pack up the laptop and drag it along.
