room assigner poem and fax questions When I send the fax to the room assigner, should I send a cover letter? My actual poem is a full page with graphics on it. What pertinent information should be on the room request? Should it include our confirmation number? All individuals going? (There will be four people- three different last names). I read that I should send it out about 48 hours in advance. Any other suggestions? Thanks for answering the questions. Here is my request. We've had MANY changes and a few mishaps along the course of our reservations, so the poem reflects that... Hello and good day dear room assigner We have a small number of requests We are hoping our stay could be finer If you’ll give a spot that is best! We are coming to POP the 29th of September But we won’t arrive until very late We will be tired of driving and ready for slumber And we’re sure the room waiting will be great! But we’ve added a day to our magical trip We weren’t supposed to be there until Saturday So we’ll kindly ask you that we don’t have to flip From the assigned room that you award us on Friday. If you allow our request to remain in the same room Then you’ve helped make our trip more delightful. Instead of waking and packing our bags for the checkroom We’ll be rousing and off to the turnstiles! We would also welcome a bottom room floor As one of our travelers has MS The steps are not kind and we all but implore That you can fill our medical request. We requested a preferred room and so we assumed That we were ready to be indulged and pampered. But it appears that we had a bit of a snafu And our TA booked a room that was standard! When we found the mistake we called in nervous And our TA said that the preferred rooms were all full In desperation, I phoned Guest Service Where a wonderful CM, Helen, got an earful. She made it all right when she cheerfully said That she’d enter a code in her PC And when we arrive, the desk staff will have read Her adjustment to make our trip trouble-free. We appreciate everything that you’ll do To accommodate our special needs requests And if you can’t do it, we know we’ll make-do But if you can, we’ll be extremely pleased guests! The Drouhard Family Ryan, Shelly, Mason and Christina

Re: room assigner poem and fax questions Great poem I've only kept mine on one page, so I never had a cover letter. I've also put our arrival date, as well as our confirmation number.

Re: room assigner poem and fax questions What a great poem! I wrote one for the last two trips and have kept it at about 9 lines. I struggled just to try and rhyme a short poem so I'm quite envious that you were able to write such a long one. Good luck with your request!
