Disney Rewards Visa

Just wondering how many of you are finding the rewards program useful?

Is there a way of finding out what the points(?) you earn are good towards, and how many are needed?

I'm starting to get interested, but not sure if it's for me.

they are reward dollars. they can be used pretty much where disney takes your money, as a gift card, so to speak.

We tend to let our reward dollars accumulate for a while, so that they can go towards a "big" purchase. Last year, we paid for Mary Devall's AP and for our dining plan. This year, we will probably pay for almost two of our AP's with our dollars. So . . . it does make a difference for us.

Other than the reward dollars, we have taken advantage of the 6 months % interest several times - - currently for the down payment for our latest DVC add-on.

It's just like cash, $1 for $1 and you can spend it practically anywhere in the parks or Disney stores. I always put mine down on my room when I check in.

Be careful not to carry a balance as the rates tend to change and move up every year. We try to keep ours paid off. We put everything on it and pay it off at end of month. We have saved quite a bit...however, we cash in the reward dollars on each visit...and since we go as often as we do, there is never enough saved up to make that big of a difference...but hey, every little bit helps. Nice thing is that you can see how many rewards you have cashed in over the years...we have saved a bundle...if we only saved them up over the years, we would have a free trip by now.

We just used ours for all of our souveniers. It was wonderful to not tell the kids no when they asked for something, although they did have a limit.

I used my reward dollars on our trip in August and have accumulated a good deal for this trip. It is going to pay for our park tickets to Typhoon Lagoon, with a bit left over.

I have accumulated $1200 over the last few years on my card and will use it to pay for part of our package in August!

We use ours to pay on our resort tab, using our Key to the Kingdom to charge all purchases and then pay off what we can with the Disney Rewards Card. So fun!

I love using this card! We go about every 4 years it seems. Although, I think we've had the card for maybe 2 or 3. WE are going on our trip in April, and we are paying for 3 park passes ($792), and will have about $500 more to spend on dining/souvenirs, whatever. This is a significant amount to me, and definitely worth it. We do however pay our card off every month, don't want to pay interest. I say go for it! You'll be surprised how it adds up, with gas, groceries, clothing very quickly. I only wish that instead of paying college tuition with a check I could charge this on my Visa card and then pay that off! Then the points would really add up!
