|  Segway Tour Around World Showcase!! Wow! What a GREAT time! I had reserved the soon-to-be-no-longer "Hidden Treasures of the World Showcase". Janet from the tours called in March to tell me some unfortunate news. I was the only one who signed up for the tour on April 3rd, so would I like to join another tour, or cancel. I had to cancel since I would not be at WDW when she had a scheduled tour. So...the next best thing, Segway Tour! I was on my first ever Solo trip, especially planned for tours. Tuesday had been the Keys to the Kingdom tour, so Wednesday was the Segway tour. I was staying at Pop Century and the front desk told me that the first bus on Wednesday morning would most likely pick up for EPCOT at 8:15. That was too close to my 8:30 Segway tour, so I called for a taxi. He was a speedy little driver, so I got there in no time!! I arrived at the front gate as Larry was meeting three girls who work at Japan in EPCOT. Since I was early, and they only had three in their group, I was allowed to join them instead of waiting for the 8:30 tour!! (This worked out perfectly!) As we walked to Guest relations I stopped to take a couple of pictures of the topiaries. The flower and garden show was starting on April 5th. There were several trucks and horticultural workers finishing their 8 hour shifts. We met Dong, from Beijing, China, who would be our tour guide. Then we followed Larry over to Innoventions to begin our training. After 45 minutes of learning go,stop, up an incline, down a slope, stepping on and stepping off, we were ready to head out to the world. Wow! What a perfect morning! The plants and flowers were so beautiful, and Dong gave us such a nice tour of the World Showcase! By the time we headed back to Innoventions an hour and a half had passed by without blinking! This is a fantastic tour! You will have so much fun and learn so much about the World Showcase! Enjoy!   Last edited by songbird; 04-12-2007 at 10:41 PM. |

| My sister and I did the Segway tour last May and I agree with you - it is a fantastic tour!

| DH had done this tour before so when we went down this past February, we both did it. I have to admit, I was a bit apprehensive about using the segway (I am not the most coordinated person) but it was so easy! I loved this tour. Just wish you could book something on the segway that would allow you to "Zip" around on the segway at your own pace/speed rather than following in a line! I would recommend this tour to anyone!

| We loved this tour so much we did it twice! Also, a funny aside - Larry was our tour guide also the first time we took it 3 years ago!

| I love that tour. I figured my DH and I would've ended up in the lake but we didn't. I was a nervous wreak worrying about crashing but I really enjoyed it and was very relaxed once I got used to it. I think I even did better than DH-which surprised me. I hope to take my dad on it sometime in the future. Glad you had fun!! Lori
