| Kids Clubs? PB&J on the buffet? Does anyone who has used the clubs know if there was pb&j on the buffet? In Passporter it said the one in Poly has pb& j--- I was a little surprised. I called, and you get WDW Dining, and she didn't sound sure. She told me there would be other options if my son was allergic, but she wasn't understanding that my son could have a fatal reaction if he was in there while other kids are eating peanut butter. We were so looking forward to having dinner somewhere fancy on our next trip since Danny will be 4.5yo. We weren't going to leave the hotel-- we were going to eat at whichever hotel they were using the kids club, I had already found out they could handle the epi-pen, but I didn't even think about the fact that they would have peanut butter on the menu. I don't know why I'm surprised since they serve it on the pirate cruise as well. Just wondering if maybe anyone had experience with the kids club and had noticed what was on the buffet. I'm going to try and call another number. Last edited by Happymommy; 04-20-2007 at 05:20 PM.. |

| Sorry I can't help you. I just wanted to empathize with you as two of my three children have peanut and nut allergies. One so severe he can't be in the room with it the other more mild. I am still trying to find out about some of the attractions that offer pb&j. I am thinking that to be save we will skip it. It is just a shame to me because my littlest one will miss out on something I think she will really enjoy (as she won't go without her older sister).

| My kids love kids clubs like that (we have one at our gym, and they used the one at Saratoga Springs while we were taking the tour--- there was no food though)--- they never want to leave. We thought they would have loved their night here. Oh well. If there's peanut butter, there's no way he can be in there. You said you were trying to find attractions with peanut butter---- the only thing I can think of is the Pirate Cruise. I'm told they will skip the peanut butter if you book it and ask them too, but the fact that there's peanut butter on that boat every other day --- he just couldn't go on that boat. It stinks. Disney's so allergy aware--- I was surprised they had things like this with peanut butter--- they should switch to Sunbutter. It's so good, I find it hard to tell the difference (unlike soynut butter which is just bad). 'Ohana has peanut dipping sauce, Beaches and Cream has chopped peanuts. PM me if you have any questions about anything else---we've done Disney a few times with the peanut allergy. Last edited by Happymommy; 04-21-2007 at 07:13 AM.. |

| From what my DD tells me, she didn't remember any PB&J, even in those Uncrustables. I have seen them a the buffets. I've used the Neverland Club and they are VERY good with handling food allergy concerns. My DD is lactose intolerant and they had a red bracelet on her arm indicating such. I'd suggest calling one of the Kids Clubs during their operating hours (they open at 4:30pm) with your concerns.

| I'd call the Poly direct -- maybe even ask for the kids program depts. I know my daughters school uses the uncrustables because the wrap makes it very unlikely they'll cross contaminate the kitchen. But that doesn't help you with an "airborne" peanut issue. |

| We used the Sandcastle Club in the Beach Club last summer and the meal was not a buffet. We had to pick from a few options when we signed in. I remember chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, and pizza, but I don't remember PB&J being a choice. I think the Neverland Club is the only one that offers a buffet, so you might want to check around.
