Cool Wishes Cruise or Illuminations Cruise

We will be at WDW from Nov 20-25 with very good friends who are going for their first time. I want to do something special for them and am torn between the Wishes Cruise or the Illuminations Cruise. Has anyonyone done either one or both that can give me some guidance......the kids are 2 DD's age 13 and 1 DS age 12.....they are all up for anything!! Thanks so much!!

We did an IllumiNations cruise, and had a great time! I've also heard good things about the Wishes ones as well

We did the Wishes Cruise in April...........there were seven of us we picked the bigger boat that seats twelve $375.00 with music piped in.
It was great! lasted about 1 1/2 hours we got a tour of Bay Lake, and watched EWP up close, and then Wishes, It was truly a Magical Moment!! Snacks and drinks are provided.

We've done both...I liked Illuminations Cruise better. It was more expensive but I think it's because I liked the skipper better. Also, it seemed much more exclusive, ie harder to book.
Good luck getting either one!

We have done both the Wishes and IllumiNations cruises and I far preferred the IllumiNations one. Mind you, we got stuck with one of the Wishes boats that does not have the music piped in and for me, Wishes without its accompanying soundtrack just isn't nearly as magical. And we only got to see Wishes and not the Electrical Water Pageant as some guests seem to have experienced. I think it depends on both the timing and the boat captain.
