| Hey Everyone, Anyone have any other ideas for autographs or how not to lose them??? One year my mother cut out muslin squares (for a quilt she was going to make) which we had the characters sign but woe is us we lost them. Unfortunately even after checking at lost and found and asking for cast to keep an eye out, they were never found and we had some great signatures (including a once a year visit fromthe doll maker from germany). I want to do this again for myself and my niece but am afraid of losing the squares as i am very much like my mother......any ideas???? Thanks Morgan Philadelphia, PA Upcoming vacation: December 9-15

| OK, a couple of thoughts: 1) punch a hole in them and link them all together with yarn 2) buy a notebook with page protectors, on sheet #1, include your name, address, general contact/trip info...then put each square in the different pockets. It's probably a lot harder to lose an entire notebook than individual squares. 3) try to find a photo album that has large enough pages...I'm sure Michaels' has something. 4) when all else fails, use your passporter pockets.....they're great for storing all sorts of things. 5) Use t-shirts....have the characters sign your shirts and just cut them up for the quilt later. It will be really hard to lose the shirts off your back!!!

| I really like the idea of punching a hole in them and then connecting them somehow....either with yarn or those circular rings. Just make the square a little larger than you would like to account for the hole. On one of the squares I would put your name and resort you are staying at with the dates. As for the shirt idea, that's great too, however if you would like to have a shirt signed you cannot be wearing it at the time of the autograph. I'd to see the finished product!!!Hope this helps!

| A suggestion Why not take the muslin squares and use the temporary spray adhesive and attach them to a card stock. This way they have some "backing". Then you can either punch a hole in them or take the entire lot down to a Kinko's and have them bind them together? (I'm in the process of getting our autograph album together, but want to use cardstock for scrapbooking later.)

| I like the idea of adhearing them to cardstock. When I made DD's autograph book for our last trip I found a small 2 ring binder at Walmart and used the larger index cards for pages. Each night we would remove the autographs and place them in that days Pass Pocket in a ziplock bag in our suitcase that way if she lost the book we woundn't lose all of the autographs. I LOVE the idea of making a quilt of the autographs!!! If you are worried about the Muslin, you could use index card then scan and print them on iron-ons when you get home, and then transfer them to Muslin! I am going to have to try this for our next trip and make a wall hanging! Thanks for the great idea, and I hope you find a way to store your autographs so you won't lose them!
