| Disney Photo pass Just a push for the Disney photo pass.................thankfully I read about it on this site and for whatever reason, pre-purchased it. Now, not even a week after I have returned from Disney, am I ever glad I did. On our way home, my digital cameras were stolen in the airport. All of my daughters first pics from Disney are gone. I have called and called and cried and cried but no cameras have been turned in. All I have is the 100+ pictures that are on the photo pass. I am so grateful now that I purchased that and took advantage of the photographers when I could. As an avid scrapbooker I cannot tell you how devastated I am- but at this point there is little I can do. Please- back up those pictures and carry them separate- trust me! I have never ever had something like this happen to me- and hope that it doesnt to anyone else nor did I ever think for a minute that I would lose them, have them stolen, whatever..............just back them up and utilize that photopass- even if you dont pre-purchase it- I found out the horrible way. You just never know!!!! |

| Sorry to hear about your camera. I think I would be more upset about losing my pics than about losing my camera, too. This brings up an important safety precaution that I take - Backup your pics! I put my pics on my laptop at the end of each day, and usually burn a CD copy before leaving for home. But if you don't have a laptop and keep your pics on your memory cards until you get home, you can still have the pics burned to CD at WDW or at an off-site place like Walgreens or WalMart. Just keep the CDs in a suitcase instead of in your camera bag; it's highly unlikely that your camera bag AND suitcase would all be lost or stolen, so at least one of the two copies of your pics would make it home safe. |

| I'm sooooooo sorry about your loss..........or rather theft.............it's so sad when something of yours is taken away. I know it's not the same but as you said it's lucky that you do have the photo pass pictures. My DD & her boy friend used the service in WDW and ordered the pictures and CD after viewing them at home....(they didn't pre-order, as I suggested)............they're wonderful. They are very happy with all their pictures...............I hope that you are too. rella

| OH KENZIE516! I feel your pain. I am an avid (translated addicted) scrapbooker too and I cannot imagine what I would do if my camera and pix were stolen. Everyone, burn those CDs! I live in fear of the day I press the wrong thing and delete without intent. I know it seems impossible but with ME anything is possible. Hope you get lots of pleasure out of the PhotoPass. I think I am preordering it just because I am never in the pictures. Well, not never, but you know what I mean! My husband used to be the big photographer but since I started he takes a few and forgets. I think that the Pass is an excellent idea. Do alot of journaling with whatever pictures you have. Thanks for selling me on that Photopass. Hope you get a great new camera (be sure and check your homeowners insurance). Bigred

| I'm so sorry to hear about the theft and your cameras and the loss of your pictures. I too would be devastated as I am an avid scarpbooker as well. Glad the Photopass pictures are giving you some of those wonderful memories.

| how do you pre-order? **edited** and i am sorry to hear about you losing your pictures, but the photopass has 100, which is ALOT, and you should be in alot of them too, which is good.... it does suck to lose all of those memories... my very first trip to DL after about 7 years in 04 i lost my disposable camera on the Indy Ride...i cried for about 20 minutes....it had some really cute pix from things i couldnt get again...but after thinking about it, if i cant remember it without the picture, its not as valuable as i think....*that is ONLY for me tho* and i am a scrapbooker too, or i was...i dont really do it that much anymore..

| Here's what I learned from the great guru Bradk. Go to disneyphotopass.com and you can preorder your CD for about $99 which is a 20% savings. Then you just go and have a ton of pictures taken and they will be on your computer for you to edit when you get home and then the CD will be mailed to you at no further charge (no shipping or handling etc.). It is on my list of things to do. Bigred

| I checked the photopass website, but didn't see anything about pre-ordering the CD. Was that a limited-time promotion, or have I just overlooked the spot on the website where I should be clicking?
