Another PhotoPass Question

Okay - first-timer here, so I'm not quite certain I know how it works...

Do PhotoPass CMs approach you in the parks - or do you need to find them? Are they all over the place or just in specific areas?

Thanks!

They may approach you if they are just standing around waiting for people, but usually you just go up to them. You'll find them in various areas in the different parks.....mostly in the entrance areas & near the park icon...sometimes you'll find a random one. Most of the character meet & greets also have a PhotoPass photographer with them, but not all. Thinking off the top of my head:

Magic Kingdom
* the middle of main street.....there are quite a few as you make your way down the street (ask one of the ones closer to the entrance for a picture with Tink)
* in the hub - right in front of the Partners statue
* I have sometimes seen one in a small area in the pathway leading to Tomorrowland....usually at night

Epcot
* Right after entering the turnstiles....before you reach Leave a Legacy
* In Character Connection
* You can put your Test Track ride photo on your PhotoPass card
* Disney Visa Meet & greet

Disney's Hollywood Studios
* stationed down Hollywood Blvd
* one time we caught one on the street near Sounds Dangerous and the photographer had us pose to include Stitch in it.
* heading towards ToT & RnRC
*Don't forget to find Sorcerer Mickey

Animal Kingdom
* as you come into the Oasis area....in front of the Tree of Life
* character trails

I know there are many others, but that is all I can think of right now.

Have fun with it!! Don't forget to take a photo of the back of your PhotoPass card just in case you lose it!

Hope this helps!!

I just returned from a 8 day trip. Not once did a photographer approach us on this trip. If we wanted a picture by one, we had to walk up and ask.

Oh yeah, at Typhoon Lagoon a photographer took pictures of DH and DS as they exited a slide and handed DH a photopass. DH didn't know what it was all about....had to explain.

I have had them walk up to us and we also have had to find them. They are always very helpful and very interactive. Last year there was no one near the tower of terror and this photopass CM from the front of the park actually followed us over there just so we could get our picture made with the TOT!! So if you want a picture i'd make it happen yourself and not wait on them to ask

That's what I did last summer. If I saw a Photopass Photographer just standing around, I went over to him to take our pictures. Especially since I had in mind to get the CD at the end of our trip so I wanted as many pictures taken as I could get.

You can pre-order the PhotoPass Cd and save some money, too. I did this for my DD and they're having lots of fun editing the pics for the CD.
Here's a link to the pre-order offer.

We had a few photopass people come to us but most of them we approached. My favorite shot is on the walkway to Tommorland at night. There is a photographer who takes your pic against the lit castle. (I posted it below). It has one of the borders you can add if you order the cd online and we got lucky, the castle changed colors just as he was taking the pic so we got a two colored castle.

Something that the photopass people told us while we were there was to let the photographer know you have preordered or are ordering cd. Many of them will take extra shots and sometimes put you in different poses.

The other thing we were told was to write down the time and place of any pics taken. This way if some turn up missing they should be able to find them. Although if there are shots you can't lose (like characters) have the attendents take a shot or two with your camera also.

Wish I had seen your guide before we went Bradk, I didn't even know about the hidden characters.

In July when I was in Epcot, there was a Photopass photographer in front of The Living Seas where the Nemo and Friends sign was. There was always a line of people there waiting to get their picture taken.

Thanks for all the tips, everyone !

I'll know where to be looking now and remember not to be shy about asking to have a photo made.
