Talking Daughter's birthday

We are going to Disney for my daugher's third birthday and staying at the pop Century resort. I have told them that it is her birthday and they said that they go in the room to decorat it after we leave. My question in what do they do? I also plan on getting the birthday pin at the resort and was wondering if anyone has done this and do they get special treatment because of it. Another question totaly off of the birthday thing. We are also planning on going to sea world and the reservation person told me that it would be cheaper to rent a car for the day then taking a taxi. What do you think should we rent a car?

When my son had his birthday at WDW, the staff at Wilderness Lodge asked who his favorite character was, and I told him it was Mickey. They put a birthday card with a signed photo of Mickey and some balloons in our room. Several CMs made a fuss over Noah because he wore his birthday button. He got a phone call from Goofy set up by a castmember at a hat stand at Epcot. He was choosen to open EPCOT one morning and was 1st on test track. He received a dream fast pass at MGM, he got birthday cakes at all table service meals (have them note the birthday when you make your ressies). One CM gave him a lanyard pin. Also countless CMs wished him a happy birthday. He came home with big head, lol, and now wants every birthday to be at WDW.

they may put a few balloons and a card signed by a character. It's not a guareentee that you WILL get something done. Unfortunately if you definately WANT to get something done, you will have to pay for it.

Definitely get the birthday pin - you just never know what will happen. Don't expect anything just in case, but it's definitely worth wearing it. I've had cakes turn up at meals and cards from the characters.
