Backstage Magic Tour Has anyone taken the Backstage Magic Tour? My husband and I were thinking about trying it this September but the cost is pretty steep. We took the Kings to the Kingdom Tour last year and loved it - we love seeing behind the scenes and hearing new trivia and getting to speak with cast members "off stage."

Re: Backstage Magic Tour Hi Maytwo, We took this tour on our May trip, and we really enjoyed it. It is a long tour (7 hrs including lunch), but it didn't feel that long to us, because Mark (our guide) kept us on our toes with little interesting information about WDW. I thought the tour was a bit steep too, but if you have Amex, they have a 20% discount for the tours, I think MKC card also gives some sort of a disc too (only 10% if I'm not mistaken). Anyways, The tour was fun and the food at Mama Melrose was good (not great, but good. One of the pasta dish was to die for... but the others are only good.). But the dessert plate was wonderful. I could just eat the dessert plate and pass on the others... Hope you this helps you to make your decision. Book early, they tend to be full pretty quickly... Cynthia

Re: Backstage Magic Tour Hi Cynthia! Remember me? We met at the Backstage Disney tour. I concur with everything you mentioned. It's an interesting tour if you enjoy "business" aspects and the activities that keep WDW humming each day. Lots of standing around though, if there was a downside, that was it. My arthritic knees were killing me...but I wanted to see and hear everything on the tour. A highlight? The utilidors...the secret "underground" passages...very interesting...it's definitely a different world. It's a good day, and the CM was very entertaining and interesting. Cynthia, I hope the rest of your vacation was great! Ours was.

Re: Backstage Magic Tour Hiya PegB, How are you doing? I think they should put a warning on this tour that there will be a good amount of standing around involved. But like you said, all in all it was a good tour. Our vacation went great. I had a little trouble convincing myself to go back home... I started a trip report, it's in the Adventure Report (coming very very slowly.. Nice to hear from you again. I hope your arthritic knees are getting better. Cynthia
