A New Toy For Cruella & Her Trip Reporting!

As one of my gifts to Cruella for our Anniversary (in Oct) I got her a tiny micro-chip recorder, that would record up to 9hrs, so she could keep track of all the info for our Trip Report!

Well....now that we are also planning to go in Sept. I had to give it to her early so she could use it for the PassPorter convention!

I think it's her way of getting an extra anniversary present!!(Just kidding sweetie )

How do you keep track of vacation information?.....or do you just leave it to memory?

Only 23 Days 13 Hrs 51 Mins 35 Secs until the PassPorter meeting!

I always "plan" to jot down notes at the end of the day, but am so caught up in the magic that I neevr get around to it. A WDW vacation is so vivid and impacting for me though, that I can easily remember 17 pages worth weeks after my trip is over :>

I sit down at the end of the day and fill out the Passporter day pages. Makes a great way to "jog" the mind after the return home.

Re: A New Toy For Cruella & Her Trip Reporting!

While I have yet to try it, I'm hoping to "take notes" as we stand in line (of course, that is, if we actually *have* to stand in line).

Perhaps I'll make a few notes over dinner as we wait for our main course.

Maybe I'll jot down a few ideas as we wait for the bus or are seated on the monorail.

I guess my hope is that I'll just find little itty bits of time to jot down things--also, having another individual w/you as you do this will help to get the most ideas down on paper (2 memories are usually better than 1, I think...).

Anyway...I'm interested to hear other peoples' ideas too...keep em coming, guys!

Re: A New Toy For Cruella & Her Trip Reporting!

I like the idea of the little recorder I think one of these would be great to record the sounds coming from someone who has never been on the ToT

I plan on taking index cards to jot down some of the things said and done... then when we get back to our resort, I will but it all down in the PassPorter

This little recorder is the greatest thing! I just love it! The sound is so clear, it's easy to operate and, though I haven;t tried it yet, you can actually download the messages to your PC! They give you a CD with the software and everything!

Just had to let you know how much I love it! Thanks, WildForWD! This will make doing our trip report soooo easy!

I actually keep a journal. Last year My 9 yr old nephew & I both kept one. I got him into writing into it everynight. But he caught me not writing in mine. I was taking a shower & he decided to see what I wrote in mine. When I acme out , he told me I was a day behind & I needed to catch up.

WildForWDW, where did you get the recorder. I think that is a wonderful tool! In 98 I just remembered things after we got home, but this next trip I was planning on writing in my PassPorter at night. I was also thinking about asking the transciptionists that I work with, if I could bum a minnie cassette recorder. (I work in a doctor's office) Maybe I will check out what Cruella got!
