| I guess it all depends upon the person. I found a Disney autograph book somewhere here at home before we left for something like $1 so I bought it and took it with us. That way, I had it right when we got there and I didn't have to worry about running into a gift shop to find one.

| Some of the autograph books at the park have a 'picture side' and an 'autograph side'. It is really nice to have a photo of your child along with the autograph. We usually buy as we enter the park, but the ones with the photo pages (which we love) don't have enough pages for all the 'characters' we meet. You can buy Disney autograph books online, too. Disney Autograph Books - Mickey Mouse, Disney Princess, Tinkerbell, Disney pens, Minnie Mouse, Mickey and Gang, Theme Park Character Signatures This year I think my oldest DD wants to make her own autograph book (with places to past photos) Also, I think we are going to venture into new territory and have the characters sign pillowcases for each of my children. There are lots of things you can do. Sounds as though you might enjoy making an autograph book because you enjoy scrapbooking. Don't forget the Sharpie pens in different colors. They make the signatures look great! |

| As far as the autograph book goes, I think it's personal preference. If you enjoy scrapping you would probably have fun making your own. To get a countdown in your signature, go to "My Home", "Edit Options". Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will find an area to add a countdown to your signature. Fill out the boxes, click Save Changes and voila! your countdown box should appear in your posts. It's important to not use an ampersand (&) or quotation marks in your countdown or it won't work.

| My one complaint about the "generic" autograph books (they've been royal blue for many years with the Fab5 on the front) is that the paper is rather lightweight -- most magic marker/Sharpies bleed right through. Plus, your autograph book looks like every other book purchased on property and they can get mixed up sometimes and they make it hard to tell apart. If you make your own, there are tons of bonuses to that:
Plus, it's fun to make them! Eileen

| Another idea not yet mentioned is to go to your local Disney Store (I know they are getting far and few between, but there are still a few out there and they are "local" to someone) and pick up a spiral bound journal. I find the spiral part being indispensible when I have 6 books to get signed. I always end up with the pile of books and with the journals I can just flip the page so that the cover is completly out of the way. Also, if you want to add photos of the characters, they are a 5X7 size. We have the characters sign the face page and the photos get stuck on (with scrapbook photo sticker squares) on the back of the previous page (- if doing this be sure to skip the first page for signatures. I usually make a nice cover page w/ the year and any "name of vacation" [ ie: Demarais Family Vacation 2008] we may be using to tie everything together.). Just my $0.02 worth. whatever you do, I suggest you make it "your own" and have fun with them.

| Autograpgbooks I made books for my kids...I got some heavy paper that was prepunched and a 3 ring binder. Then they were able to pick out their own artwork to go on the front and pages and you can personalize them. I made them big enough for an autogragh and picture and where the picture goes it says "me & ______" so we can remember who's picture goes where.
