| Crissy, Like you I am so excited!!! I can't wait. It's a combination of everything really. Running our first race (mine & DH's), Meeting everyone that I have met through this post (and also all the other passporters at the meet on Friday night!), trying out our first MNSSHP and looking forward to all the fun we will have at Walt Disney World. We are also going to Universal for 2 days. Wow, I'm tired just thinking about all that we have to pack into 7 days. Ha/Ha The closer we get to vacation the harder it seems to fit in my workouts. I was thinking about whether I want to wear my moisture wicking white shirt for the race. I am not sure that I want to crawl in it. What is everyone planning on wearing? I was going to wear my running outfit but now I'm not real sure. I am planning on changing clothes after the race, too Crissy.

| Dawn: Like you there are so many new things for us this trip that really makes me so excited to go. Like you this is my first race ever and doing it with my best friend is so much fun to look forward to. We also are having tea the GF and trying all new resturants on this trip, along with our fav MNSSHP!!! and our first ever passporter meet! plus the AKL makes me feel like im a princess..i cant believe we get to stay there again! I too am like 6 days and all this???? i cant believe you guys are heading over to universal too! I've always wanted to try that out....maybe next year ![]() Yes i agree the closer we get the harder it is to get the workouts in. Luckily this week i can squeeze in four workouts. But friday we have friends coming over and sat and sun we have plans. So the week prior i'm thinking i'm going to at least walk everday , my DBF said he will continue to walk with me and the weather is letting up a little at night. I do have to work that sat before the race though which stinks and cuts into my packing buttttt I only have to do it once in a blue moon soooo not too bad. Dawn, crissy one and I were having such a hard time trying to figure out what color shirt to wear. Unfortunately dawn like you my only moisture wicking shirt is white and we were both on the same page thinking i'm not crawling in a white shirt! So, I have changed to the same shorts cause they are black but i'm thinking of moving the shirt to a dark tank top i have, unless i find another color on sale between now and then. the thing i'm worried about is getting my new tennis shoes all messed up if we are crawling,etc....so i dunno

| THe info is up on the EE5K webpage. There is scheduling information but no specifics on the course. I guess we are still in the dark.

| Just saw the info! Okay so apparently they will transport us to pick up our packets as well from AKL so we dont have to get a cab!! woo hooo.....do we really have to attend one of those talks though? i mean that will cut into my EPCOT time! *L* whats the goodie bag??? wonder what kind of goodies we will receive.... so the tech shirt we will receive wonder if we can wear that at the race??? so we have to leave our hotels around 530 then? we have waves of running...hmmm so does everyone get the same amount of time to finish? I'm going to print that PDF file to study! So its cool we can bring our bags. I'm guessing they want us to spend our money on food after the race*L*

| I just keep pushing forward. I am feeling yucky still...as I said since the surgery my body has not been the same. My training came to a stand this week b/c of pain issues...I may need to visit the doctor again. I am hoping to start again this week and maybe be able to walk/run the 5K. I am already in a major funk at the thought of not doing the 5K...but I am trying to listen to my body...so we will see.

| Everything so far here in Dallas is okay. They say the rain and everything is going to hit sometime early this morning bringing the wind. Galveston is supposed to be hit the hardest. I read that Houston was told just to seek shelter. Not sure what to expect but everything so far is quiet. I am not sure if that is good or bad. Maria: Hope you are feeling better soon. But most definitely listen to your body. There will always be another race. But we will be there to support you one way or the other. Training is going well on this end. We got another clue today. Yeah, to Crissy 1 for her correct answer for clue number two. I know #3 for sure. Hope they stay a little more along that line. I am also glad to see that they will transport us to both the packet pick up and to the race. I also wondered if we really need to attend one of those meetings. Hmm i will have to see how well that works into my schedule. |

| Glad to hear that it wont be too bad for you guys! Keep us updated! I watch the weather channel like a hawk during this season....cause this is when i visit disney usually! I actually think i have the answer too! it seemed a little easier than the last! I worked out four days this week and plan on doing it tihs weekend too....so all is going well. I'm thinking that i'm upset they want us to attend a 30 min blah blah blah*LOL* i really wanted to get to EPCOT ASAP that day. I guess if we can get our stuff around 10 or so that we can get to EPCOT around 1130-1200...which is okay i guess i dunno....we will see like you said!

| Crissy, I live near the Alabama Gulf Coast. So far this year we have been ok. Tammy, I am glad to hear that Ike didn't affect you much, I was thinking about you and hoping that everything was ok. Maria, I hope that you are feeling better, soon. It is a good idea to listen to your body and not overdue it. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hang in there. Chrissy, great job on clue #2. I couldn't come up with anything for that one. I think that clue #3 was alot easier. I got up this morning and ran, it was a challenge for me because I haven't run much in the past two weeks. I could tell a big difference because I really had to push myself hard. From what I read in the final instructions, the wave that we start in will be posted at the race start. Is that right? I wonder if it will also be included in our packet. I hope that we will start in one of the first waves, that way we will have more time in the park. Originally they had posted that the party started at 10:00 but now it is posted as 8:00. So I guess the sooner we start the race the sooner we can finish and celebrate.

| Dawn: my friend Carol ran in a marathon a few years ago in chicago. She was telling me that the waves sometimes depend on your skill. She states they went on a honesty ranking where you rank yourself on how fast you think you can finish the course. they then once you are in your wave ask those who are going to be doing mainly running to stick up front and those who are slower to stick to the back. She said the good thing about waves is that you never know if you are dead last because of the waves which is nice!! She said they could do it by teams and by last names too...it just depends....Our last names start with a C both of us and we were one of the first to sign up ...but if its based on skill level..we will be nearly last*L* I was kinda hoping for those who say they take longer will get to go first so we can get to the party around the same time ya know????

| I too wish that they would start those of us with a disadvantage first. Althought it may be a big motivator to know that others are already finished and enjoying the after party. I am a BIG planner and hate that we have to wait until the start of the race to find out what wave we are in. I am so excited my countdown is finally in the single digits. ![]()

| Sorry guys I have been a mess...my parents house got bashed my Gustav and then flooded by IKE!!! Anyway if anyone is still willing to purchase one party ticket for me for the the 5K i would really appreciate it...my friend will be coming (they actually booked plane tickets!!!) and I was only allowed to purchase 2. So shoot me an e-mail if you can do this it would help me sooo much. I thought we could do the money ticket trade at our meet up in Epcot which I am sooo excited about. As far as training no running but lots and lots of walking.

| Maria, I am so sorry to hear about your parents house. ![]() I wish I could help you out with the tickets to the party, but I already purchased 2 tickets. I think I did read somewhere that if they didn't pre-sell all the tickets that you may be able to buy them there. It is on the EE Challenge website, under final race details. I hope someone will be able to help you out. Crissy, It is great that you are able to train so much this close to the race. I have been busy today helping Nathan with the work he will miss for the week he is out. They sent home 44 pages front and back (about 25 of that is math problems). He also has to read 2 chapters in Science and make up 5 tests. You would think he was in college, all the work he has to do.
