| Crissy,,,I am right there with you. When I come in from my runs, I feel like my head is on fire. I can actually feel the heat in my face. Those last two run cycles are brutal!!!!

| Crissy, Runnersworl.com is the best site that I have found for information about running. Me & DH like it so much that we subscribed to the magazine and have bought two of their books. The articles that you are looking for will be under Nutrition & Weight loss. Their are two categories with these articles: Essentil foods (check out Foods that boost energy under most popular articles) & also Performance training foods. I like the article that says to eat gummy bears for energy!!(under performance training foods, Foods for energy, page 2) Hee Hee Hee. Hope this helps.

| Okay i meant to post this last night but forgot. I did finish week one yesterday technically. I ran on the treadmill for two , half miles straight...see i dont get that because i had no issues with that at all...i ran for like 7mins straight two or three times. Maybe its the heat and hills outside that made the big difference because i know you've guys said from the treadmill to outside wasnt that big of a difference. anyway i did the 25 min run on the treadmill still averaging 13.3 min miles ( i would like to see 10 mins miles at least eventually) and then i stayed on it till i hit four miles just fast walking the last mile. I think iwas on there 50mins total. But anyway i'm heading outside for the second time this week tomorrow. I decided to train as much as i can to build endurance. I'm actually starting to look forward to it to see how far i can push myself and what i can do. So where is everybody else in training? Have a great weekend!

I was thinking the same thing the other day. I signed up for the EE Challenge because it fell in the middle of our vacation. We were at EPCOT in Jan. of 07 during the marathon weekend and I always thought it would be cool to run a race at Disney but never saw myself actually doing it. And now that I have started I love it and plan on continuing past Sept. We subscribe to 2 running magazines and check out runnersworld.com alot. Of course, with DH being addicted too it is worse in my house. Nathan, who is 8 is wanting to start running too. I think I am going to take him on short walks with me to build him up to it.

| I have to agree with everyone once you start you want to keep going...and test your endurance...and it helps to have WDW as the place to go for our goal. Today I did C25K Week 6 Day 1...not to bad...I was on the treadmill again and during the last 2 minutes the power went out I jumped off and ran in place for the rest of two minutes. My big run comes at the end of the week 2.5 miles I am going to do that one outside.

| I was wondering the same thing Maria. I think that is going to be my approach I am going to just keep doing week 9 until we go WDW. My thoughts are how am I going to work in workouts while at WDW since we arrive on the 20th. Congrats on continuing the run even though the power gave out. Dee: Thanks for the website. I have found a few things very informative on it. Thanks for sharing with us. Crissy 1: Congrats on the continuous time on the treadmill. I do find the treadmill easier than running outside I think its just more cushioned than the pavement and it isn't so dang hot either. I think the heat just zaps the energy. I am trying to start really hydrated on the outside days. So if I am in the hospital it is from water toxicity. Crissy 2: That was a great way to describe the intense flushing I feel of my face after I am done with my workout. My head is on fire. It takes it a good 30 minutes to return to normal color. Tomorrow I will be finishing week 5 and Friday I registered us for the EE 5K. I also registered us for the race because I really want to do the 1/2 marathon in Jan and I thought this would be a good start. I just think it is extremely cool to be running through the WDW parks but I really have no desire at this point to do a full marathon. I am shooting for 1/2 marathon before I turn 40. This year the 1/2 falls on my birthday so I am still debating on it. But this worked out good since it is in the middle of our trip and we still have 2 full days left to sample the Food and Wine Festival. |

| Dawn: self magazine is great. they have these pull out workouts, which some are silly but some are doable. I like the tips for food and clothing, etc. They have a lot of cool tips and then you can join the self club online to share tips, etc. My DBF has started the training outside with me....i'm hoping he will get into it as well. He said to me this weekend that i have a higher confidence about myself these days....its all from this training ya know? Maria: yeah i keep thinking "ill be doing this at AK which i such motivation for me..i listen to the disney podcasts prior to my run.....i cant wait to hear all about your training this week. Oh and about the training...i would continue your last week over and over if i were you, that's what the website suggests anyway...Tammy: Congrats on week 5! I hear ya about the hydrating thing.....i feel so overly watered down sometimes*LOL* but i know its a must with running outside. We signed up for this race because we thought it would be a fun thing to do for our birthdays. But its turned into a monster but the good kind*LOL* I am aiming for another one next year maybe the one in may or the food and wine festival one in the fall next year. I hear ya about the food and wine festival...we will have 3 days left there to sample the festival. I plan on sampling that day too! Last time we had such good stuff but we were so full we had to cancel or dinner reservations*L*

Also I was looking at the EE5K website and saw that you and your husband have to be there to pick up your packets b/c you have to sign the waivers in person.

Thanks for the tip on the need for both of us to be there. Hmm wish there was a way around that but if there isn't there isn't. DS may have a hard time standing in line hopefully since we are planning on going early there won't be many people there.

Thanks for the heads up on us both being there. That might be a little tricky with DS but you gotta do what you gotta do. Hopefully going early there won't be that many people there. I think I will go recheck the website and see if it says what time we can start checking in.
