We went to Luke's Locker Friday night and got fitted for shoes. My DH and I both got new shoes and I picked up some more wicking socks. How are you feeling Starla? How is the ankle Crissy? Dawn how is everything going with you and your family now that school is back in session? Or do they start tomorrow? Most of the schools around here start tomorrow. | |

| I am 100% sure you will be fine. You will more than likely get in a group going your pace and finish faster than you thought you would. I bet you will even pass us by just make sure to wave. |

| Tammy: Thanks for asking! My ankle is improving. I actually had to go the race in Bristol TN this weekend with my DBF. If you have ever seen the bristol race track its all hills....i mean large hills*LOL* I actually bandaged my ankle and took 800mg of ibuprofen. I did great. My ankle was throbbing a bit at the end of the day but we walked nearly 4miles to and from the track!!!!! I was so scared i'd hurt it further we stopped a few times and i cried before we started because i was so scared*LOL* But believe it or not ....my ankle was fine the next day...actually it was better! It still hurts sometimes but i'm still wrapping it and taking ibuprofen. I'm starting back to the gym this week...but doing some light stuff. I will probably wrap my ankle leading up to and during the race. Just for support. Maria: it is a 16min mile......i think we will all do just fine like tammy said. I'm a bit nervous now with having lost my ommphh but I will walk or crawl if i have to because i will finish and do this race no matter what*LOL*. You can walk with me and crissy one....or you will actually probably pass us right by as we cheer you two on!!

| Crissy, I am glad that your ankle is feeling better. Let us know how it is after your trip to the gym. Maria, I am getting nervous about the race, too. I think that a 16 minute pace is not going to be so bad. We could probably walk most of the race at that pace. I am not setting a goal for the race, I am just going to have fun and earn that medal from Disney! Tammy, we are finally starting to get back into a routine. School started back here on the 8th. I usually run after I take Nathan to school, around 8:00. It is not as cool out as it is at 6:00, but it's not too hot yet. I guess I am going to have to get on the "Dreadmill" today. Ha/Ha. (I just cannot enjoy running on that thing!) Faye is dropping alot of water on us and there is no way I can train outside for the several days, and I have not run in 3 days already. I guess I could cross train in swimming!

| Dawn: I too was thinking of swimming this week just to get some low impact cardio done! I will report back tonight about my foot. I'm so excited about getting back in the gym today...its like i have something special planned*LOL* weird! I agree with you about the 16 min mile...i just want to finish and get my disney medal to put in my curio cabinet! I think we could all walk a 16 min mile for sure right now!!! Faye is sending wind and clouds our way maybe some rain tonight...we will see... I'm sure when it stops raining it will be a bit cooler to run early or late in the days....its starting to be nice at the end of the day here. Good luck this week guys!!! exactly a month to go!!!!

| God mustve been listening to my prayers because my foot has really improved! I am so thankful for this. I really well we really thought i was going to have to go to the doctor and i cannot afford that right now! So, Dawn as promised i wanted to tell you that i went to the gym and did my weights routine minus the ones where i use my ankles but i could do the all the others. My foot was a bit shakey and stiff all at the same time. But i went to they bike and did that for 25 mins at my normal speed and resistance...a few times it hurt a little but not much...then i went to the elipitical trainer....at first it was a slow go but in no time i was at a decent pace and did 15mins...so total 40 cardio mins....both of those machines was low impact enough which helped alot. So, i dont think i'll run this week but by next week i should be able to do some. I'm going to work out 3 or 4 times doing about teh same routine i did today. Nice little workout. So, i'mmmmm baccccckkkkk*LOL* thank god right?

| I took a week off from running. Tropical Storm Fay really put me out of the gym and from running outside and then I was just unmotivated because of the crappy weather. But today I ran ...on the treadmill. I did day 1 on Week 9 (final week) of C25K. I ran for 30 minutes (2.1 miles) I actually improved my time by a whole minute and 20 seconds. After running I did feel a little weak and really felt sick to my stomach...not sure what that was about? But anyway I am back on track!

| You go girls. Glad everyone is back in the swing of it. I also re ran week one on Sunday. I was impressed with myself. At the 35 minute mark(5 min walk/ 30 min run) I was at 2.9 miles. So I went ahead and finished to 3.1 in 39 minutes. Must be those new shoes I got. LOL! |

| Those shoes are your special shoes tammy!!!!!*L* i want some of those!! you had them special made didnt you?? they have a place like that in charlotte a friend of mine was telling me of...where you run on a treadmill and they figure out the pattern that you run then they make the shoe accordingly??? Eric and i watch the discovery channel and there's this show on there where they show you how they make stuff and we watched them make tennis shoes the other day...no wonder those things are so expensive! Maria: Glad to hear you are back on track too!! Sometimes i feel that way after i run..its usually when im tired before i start....but two 15 min miles rocks!!! You are going to do fine girlfriend!

| Crissy, I am so glad that your ankle is better and that you didn't have to go to the Dr. Maria, I know what you mean about Faye, I missed 5 days because it was so yucky outside and I don't really like the treadmill. Congratulations on starting the last week Tammy, You are doing great! I think that 39 minutes is a great time. That is what I normally finish at but sometimes if I really try I can cut it by a minute or two. Everyone keep up the great work. It will be here before we know it. Less than a month to go.

| Its a slow recovery but i've been to the gym twice and going tomorrow for my third time. I'm doing everything but running but i'm doing cardio and getting my heart rate up through the bike and elliptical....i'm thinking after monday i can start trying to walk on the treadmill. YAY! Let me tell ya'll we got hit with some crazy storms from Faye! We were under tornado warnings with sirens and all, all day tuesday. Torential rains on monday tuesday and yesterday. But much needed but i couldve lived without the funnel clouds and high winds! it was a bit scary! so no walking outside for us either*L* Dawn: sorry faye was a deterrent but sounds like we are all getting back out there...Wednesday marked a month to go for us. We now have 26 days total!! Thats so awesome...i'm just hoping the bulk of the crazy hurricane season is gone by then! I see there are two more out there one is heading towards florida again! WHEW!
