| If there were no Disney Theme Parks where do you think your family would go on vacations? Would it be time after time, after time? We would probably go around to different State and National Parks. And, no, they would probably be a one time deal each. |

| Re: If there were no Disney Theme Parks We would probably switch it up each year. Next year we are hopefully going to San Diego (yes with a couple of days at DL/DCA). Other places that come to mind for us would be Gatlinburg & Smoky Mts., San Antonio, Myrtle Beach, Outer Banks of NC, and Branson. We will most likely mix these trips in over the years - like WDW every other year, then somewhere else every other year. I guess I want to make sure that my kids see lots of different stuff in their lifetimes! |

| Re: If there were no Disney Theme Parks We just hit someplace new each year. Let a family member pick some place they wanted to see and go. Probably add a cruise now and then. We did one for our honeymoon and just loved it. Of course we haven't been back in over 10 yrs. mary |

| Re: If there were no Disney Theme Parks We have hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, crawled on the rocks at the base of Devil's Tower, saw the beauty of Yellowstone, drove through the BadLands, basked in the beauty of Hawaii, been up and down most Western States, and still managed to work in a few trips to WDW and DL...a world without Disney would be a sad place, but I am sure that we would find SOMETHING to do... ![]() |

| Re: If there were no Disney Theme Parks We try to go somewhere new at least once a year. Last year I think we saw every cave Tennessee has to offer We go to Hershey Park quite often which has the Hershey chocolate ride (sort of like Small World, but they show you how they make the chocolate bars). The song they sing during this ties with Small World for being the most annoying and addicting, "Hershey is the great American chocolate bar", over and over and over again. | Re: If there were no Disney Theme Parks I would not want to even imagine a world without Disney! But if I had to go elsewhere... here are my picks: 1. Hilton Head/Savannah 2. Germany 3. San Francisco 4. Washington DC 5. Williamsburg 6. NYC 7. Italy I have only been to #1, so there are still a lot of places I still want to experience someday... | Re: If there were no Disney Theme Parks For a few years, we went to Wildwood (THE beach in NJ) but my husband finds it boring after a while. So far, this year, we've gone to a Yankee game, Hershey park, and the farm in upstate NY where my MIL was born and my husband vacationed every year as a child (Boooooring) We've been to Williamsburg, Boston, Myrtle Beach, Hawaii, Las Vegas and San Diego in years past. Next year could be a problem! |

| Re: If there were no Disney Theme Parks Wow - that is interesting to think about. We typically take 2-3 trips each year, hitting WDW every 2 years now (or so) since the mid 90's. We typically hit the beach (although now with all the shark attacks...) our local amusement parks (Busch Gardens - VA and King's Dominion), too. We haven't had the kids on a cruise yet - saving that for next year - or to Europe - saving that for when they are in their teens. Would also LOVE to visit Asia, Africa and South America - we love adventure and want to culture that in the kids. I do know this - if WDW wasn't around I sure would be a LOT richer! LOL! |

| Re: If there were no Disney Theme Parks It is very sad to think of it...but, I would go to the National Parks (camping) and on cruises to Alaska and the Carribbean, too. I would not repeat too many places, just a couple of favorites. I would, however, go on a cruise every year at least if I could afford it and I weren't going to Disney! I can't wait to try the Disney Cruise Line someday! I would also love to visit Paris, France and Switzerland and Germany! |

| Re: If there were no Disney Theme Parks Before our recent trip to Disney, we just went to South Carolina every year with our Pastor since he was in revival down there. This year we went to Disney and SC. We will do the same next year, but now that we have been to Disney I just can't imagine not being able to go. I guess we would stick to trips to theme parks, like Universal Studios, Dorney Park, Hershey Park, Dutch Wonderland, etc. My son loves the rides so anyone of these would suffice for him, but it would not/could not ever compare to Disney. | Re: If there were no Disney Theme Parks Wow! I never realized there were Passporter folks practically in my back yard...When I saw Dorney Park on the screen, I had to do a double take! I recently went to Dorney and it has changed so much that even if there were no more WDW, I don't think we'd go back to Dorney. I grew up with a season pass to Dorney in my pocket and a bus schedule tacked to my bedroom door. We went to Dorney just about everyday and though I appreciate change, the rides and attractions that are gone are what truly made Dorney home. It'll never be the same again...Okay, that's enough, poor Chrissi, snap out of it.* Fortunately, there's always WDW! Yay! [ 09-08-2001: Message edited by: Beaner ] |
