Re: Disney Stock.............

I would, if I had any spare money around. We lost more than $300 on our exsisting shares today. Ouch.

Re: Disney Stock.............

Well, after today's stock market performance I'm putting some serious cash into media, insurance and transportation related stocks. What a great time to buy - I'm disappointed that people reacted the way they did today, but not surprised. It's a great time to buy, on a positive note! And some stocks did go up - consumer good stocks really rose today (realtively speaking!).

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Re: Disney Stock.............

Not to worry, we just opened two parks in the past year. Give it time. I wish I had some spare change to buy right now.
On a side.......notice which stocks went up.........Philip Morris and Budwiser....people have to smoke and drink.

We're buying more stock tomorrow. Hopefully, if people will but stock, it will increase.

Remember, whenever there is a disaster, such as an earthquake or hurricane, stock drops dramatically for a few days, then climbs again.

Re: Disney Stock.............

michnash,

I have an ameritrade account. In a short story, I send them money to put into my account. I place an order to buy disney and that's pretty much it.

You can open your own account on ameritrade. Go to ameritrade.com to find out more.

Re: Disney Stock.............

I do it through E-trade online. Same as the Ameritrade. The only problem is I bought a chunck of DIS last winter at $28 and now it is only $18.40 per. But, if I had the money I'd buy more. I'm not selling what I do have though.

Re: Disney Stock.............

We also own Disney stock, but I couldn't resist buying more! It was only 5 shares, but we did it Monday to help show that not everyong is selling, we still have faith in the United States.

Re: Disney Stock.............

Is there any place you can just buy a few shares to get started?

It looks like the online sites require a minimum $1,000 investment.

Thanks!

Re: Disney Stock.............

Hi Tiki,

You can go to buyandhold.com or sharebuilder.com to buy any amount that you would like for about $3 per transaction. I just bought more Disney on Tuesday and am considering some more. This is too great a company to be selling for only $18+ a share. Good luck in whatever you choose to do.

Re: Disney Stock.............

Tom,

Thank you, thank you for the tip!

I went to buyandhold.com and now my DH and I are the proud owners of 5.52 shares of Disney stock! I am so excited, and feel a bit better of doing a small part to help out the American economy! (I'm also now wearing my Minnie Mouse ears here at work!)
