Thank you NanaTink!!!!! Thank you!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

I called Knoxville store again to talk to another CM and I got the same answer. "as far as we know we are staying open." It was remodeled last year and is always busy. I was hoping that would work in it's favor. Now hopefully Disney won't change it's mind. I still have to drive an hour to get there, but it's my closest Disney fix, so I am so glad it looks like it will stay open.

I stopped by the store in Cincinnati last night (Tri-county Mall). They had their "store closing" signs up and items were 10-30% off. The worker we spoke with said that their last day would be July 20-something unless they sell everything first. (I forget what date she said exactly)

Now, I have not been in that many Disney Stores, but the Cincinnati store has the large character figures around the top of the ceiling. and in the display windows.. ( http://www.shopsquareone.com/square/...ges/disney.jpg Just like this store if you can see it in the picture!) Most of them are supposed to move (but many don't anymore). I asked the worker if they would be selling those, and she said no! She said that it suprised her because they could make a lot more money on those than on the fixtures they would be selling. I agree! Although, I probably would never be able to afford these items, I know people would LOVE the opportunity to buy it!

We did not buy anything. We're going to wait a few weeks until the deals get better, and hopefully some items we want will still be there. If they aren't, oh well.

Most stores last day is in July
If you want something I would say get it now. Because if you wait it will be gone. I noticed that the stuff at my local store that is staying open is actually a better sale than the stores closing in my area so you may want to check there to. Like today they had adult and kids tees $5 and all the clearance is an additional 40% off, snowglobes are 50% off and swimwear for girls is 25% off.

I went to our store today (Willow Grove, PA). The sales associate said that WG was closing (figures!!), but that Montgomeryville and Oxford Valley were staying open.

I bought quite a bit at my DS today and they have some really good deals.

I asked the manager and a CM that were working if they were staying open and the manager said "Absolutely! In fact we just signed our Disney contracts yesterday!"

So, Virginia Beach is definitely not going anywhere.

River Town mall just outside of Grand Rapids, MI is staying also. I asked when I was there today. The CM looked at me like my head had fallen off! She said "With you comming in here every week buying the place up, do you really think they would be able to close us?" Made me laugh! So relieved to know my Magic will be hanging around!

Our lovely and wonderful store in Holyoke, MA is closing. As well as the Manchester, CT store. I hope to stop by to see what kind of sales they have going on. Now the closest place to get our Disney Dollars for our trip will be to go to the Westfield Farms mall in Hartford, CT. Well at least now we know.

Thanks for the information on the Waterford CT Disney Store. It was nice to go in and get a "Disney Fix" every once in awhile. I am sorry to see that it is closing.

I know - me too.

I'm trying to look up Omaha, Minneapolis, and West Des Moines.

EDITED TO ADD: Ok - I see that Omaha, NE is on the list to close.
I couldn't find Minneapolis or WDM. Are they on there or am I just missing them?

BTW, I called our Omaha store (yes, I live in SD, but I have them on speed-dial) and they gave me a number to call and complain about store closings.

I'm going to call RIGHT NOW!!!
