Fireworks Cruise I am looking for information on the fireworks cruises. Are they accessible for a child in a wheelchair, how many people can the boat fit? Has anyone ever done this and what is the best one to do. And my final question, when should I book this wonderful event? Thanks in advance!

Re: Fireworks Cruise BOOK EARLY! I tried for in June and couldn't get a ride. I think it is 90 days out for booking. I am unsure about wheelchair accesiable, but someone will know. As far as what they are like, try Deb's web site, a lot of info on it. Debs

Re: Fireworks Cruise We did a Fantasy in the Sky fireworks cruise (Magic Kingdom) to kick off our last trip to WDW and it was a big hit...especially with my 69 year-young mother!! The boats are the nice big pontoon boats, and can pick you up at any of the resorts along the water or at the Magic Kingdom marina. I should think they should be able to accomodate the wheelchair, as the boats are level with the docks and have a preety good sized swing-gate for access. I would make sure to ask, as there may be special boats just for that purpose. In addition to watching the fireworks, we took a tour around the lake and got a nice history of the resorts, plus we got to see the Electrical Water Pageant from our boat as well. All I can say is, do it if you can. It will be a memory of a lifetime!!!

Re: Fireworks Cruise We did the Illuminations cruise which left from the Yacht/Beach Club Marina, toured the lake, and then parked under the International Gateway Bridge for a spectacular viewing of Illuminations. There were 10 of us on the pontoon. I think it was $125, and you can get a 10-15% discount for using American Express. It was very enjoyable and I would recommend it. Definately call the first day it is availabe - 90 days in advance, 407-939-7529 (Disney Sports & Rec line).
