Adventurer\'s Club Can someone describe to me what goes on at the Adventurer's Club on PI? DW and I dropped in there when we were on our honeymoon, but it was mostly deserted. (It was early in the evening.) We looked around for a few minutes and then left, wondering what the appeal was. Since then I've read how it's a favorite stop for many people. What did we miss?

Re: Adventurer\'s Club Hi, Neighbor! (I live in The Colony) I had my first experience with the Adventurer's Club last December with some fellow PassPorters and AC vetrans. My son, who is 9, went, too. We started out sitting in one room where the maid was "cleaning" and there was this cabinet that had a floating Genie's head in it! They had some banter back and forth that was funny. It was improvisational comedy. They interact with the people sitting and watching, so a lot of the show depends on the crowd's reactions, too. Anyway, when the Main Library opened up, we went in there and sat at a table and ordered drinks. We saw the Balderdash contest. It was more improvisational comedy. It was hilarious! When the show's over, you go from room to room. You can keep coming back to the Library because it's a different show each time. Every room has somthing happening in it. We barely saw it that night. I want to go back. It was really fun.

Re: Adventurer\'s Club The premise of Adventurer's Club is that you've wandered into the club's annual Open House night, the night they'll be anointing the Adventurer of the Year. There are many activities in the club throughout the evening. You can attend lectures in the Mask Room and Treasure Room, where one of the permanent members of the club will describe the fascinating artifacts (and maybe the artifacts will tell their own stories). You may chat with Dottie, the club's maid or Graves, the butler, or be recruited by Club President Pamelia Perkins. Club Treasurer and Icthyologist, Professor Otis T. Wren may regale you with a fishy tale, or visiting Adventurer Emil Bleehall from Sandusky Ohio may share his awe and admiration of his fellow club members. Maybe Club Aviator, that dashing Hathaway Brown, may make a pass at you (he can be quite pursuasive, ladies), or Adventurer Samantha Sterling may invite one of the boys along on her next safari (hold on tight to your dates, ladies). Club Gleemeister Colonel Critchlow Suchbench will teach everyone the official club theme song, and we'll all be sworn in as temporary members of the club. Every so often folks may be invited into the Library for a variety of entertainments - a Radio Show, the Balderdash Cup Competition, or a late-night Hoop La (that's Hoooop La!), but it's also fun just to sit out in the main salon and hang-out with your fellow Adventurers. The Adventurer's Club has a good bit in common with the Enchanted Tiki Room, the Diamond Horseshoe Saloon Revue (but with something stronger than birch beer), the Country Bear Jamboree, Chester and Hester's DinoRama, the Streetmosphere performers on Hollywood Blvd, the Hollywood Tower of Terror (just the lobby - the club's elevator is quite tame), and, well.... Just go there, hang out, and watch the evening unfold. Who knows, you might even find a PassPorter or two.
