| How many autographs? Okay - so you would think that by now (after 10 trips) that I would have this down So with that being said - how many autographs do you average for a 10 day trip (with 6 character meals!)? Thanks for your input!!!

| What I did when making my kids' books was to figure at least 5 pager per meal (Unless I knew there would be more or less), then I added about 25 pages for just randome autographs. I they don't all get used, no biggy. I'll just take them out when we get home. At least I know they will have enough while we are down there.

| Yeah - I ended up going through some of our previous trips and checking and it looks like we averaged about 38-40 per trip - THANKS!!!! It just kinda funny - I am making her autograph books this time, by cutting 5x6 sheets from my Creative Memories paper (various colors) then I made a cover and a back then I am taking it to Staples to have it spiral bound - I think I am doing that with her journal/activity book as well! I will have to try to figure out how to post a pic when I am done!

| I am making my daughter and son's books also. If you go to DISboards under creative designs there are some extremely talented women/men who created some great pages. Here is just an example of some of the pages. [/IMG]

| I tried to do a very character spacific book last year. Not as detailed as the pages pictured, but in my own way. It was a horrible flop. I found it very difficult to get to the correct page before the next character came along and get my dinner into me. this year I only made sections for each resteraunt. That should make it a little easier. I won't have to worry about which character is next, just that I'm in the right section of my book. just a word to the wise. If your up for all the work it takes, then go all out though.

| Those autograph pages look great, but I would probably make them terrible. We purhcased some great looking books last year at Target for about $2 each. I looked around on ebay and found a great seller that had all of this stuff for about the same price I would pay in Kissimmee. The pages have the characters on both sides. I've got some with Mickey and his Friends, some with just Princesses, and some with Pooh and Friends. We've got everything back now and I'm just counting down the days until our trip. I'm sure we will still get our snacks at the Super Target or Walmart in Kissimmee. Also we purchased most of our tshirts there last year for half the price. The only one we bought in the parks was Monsters Inc. We had bought the ones on property and were really disappointed when we found the nicer ones at Target. |

| Stefanie repeats characters -- every Mickey Mouse she meets has to sign her book, so she can fill over 50 - 75 pages on our two week trip.

| okay - so the book is "put" together and sitting at Staples waiting to be spiral bound - they had to special order the spiral, as the ones that they had in stock were not big enough!!! I ended up putting in 80 pieces of paper - each one cut to 6x5 inches of various colors - and then made a cover and back - which I printed out a card stock sheet with some of the "gang" on it and "Emily's Disney Autographs July 2008" - they will also put a clear plastic sheet over the cover and back, just to give it a bit more protection! I felt like a mother leaving her child there!!!! I can't wait to see it "completed"!!! I will try to post a pic of what it looks like when I get it back on Monday or Tuesday! But for those who were asking - what I plan to do, is have the characters sign a page, then when we return home, they will be cut out of the spiral book and placed next to the photo in the 8x8 Creative Memories Disney album to be my DD's Disney Autograph Album! In the past, we have carried the CM album with us and have had the characters sign directly on the page, but we were looking to do something different this time! Hopefully it will come out good!

| Tag Book I made the children books for our next trip, but I did them a bit different. I made "Tag Books". They look like large tags in rainbow colors. I used some of that chipboard for the cover (it was shaped like a giant tag as well). I covered the chipboard with Tinkerbell scrapbook paper and decorated it with some Tinkerbell stickers. I did the same for my DS using Cars Movie theme. I held them all together with a large clip ring (the silver kind that you can pull apart and take pages out). You can easily get to the next page and when I get back home all I have to do is replace the ring with ribbons and put them in their scrapbooks. they came out real nice. I'm actually thinking of making a few extras with the extra pieces I have and sell them on Ebay. they were easy to make, reasonably priced to make and I can put as many pages in it as I'd like. |
