There is a live stage show going on during your meal. It was one of our favorite meals of the trip. The have funny (corny) jokes and songs and they interact with the audience even bringing a few people onto the stage. They take a few intervals at wich time your food is brought out. The food is yummy and me and my kids loved the entertainment.

B.M. gave you a great overview. It is absolutely our families most favorite place to go. We love the show and the food. The jokes are corny, but we can't help but laugh. It's a fun night!

Just for the sake of another opinion . . .

I think it's way overpriced, the entertainment is lame, and the food only average. (You can get the same food at Trail's End next door.) I would rather spend that kind of money elsewhere. If you want to see Fort Wilderness, try the nightly movie and sing-along. It's FREE.

The show has been going on for 35 years or so without changes other than to the cast. We really enjoyed it and my 7 year old son found it just about the funniest thing in the universe. The humor is puns and other family entertainment with a lot of pratfalls and visual humor. There is an audience participation component with people going up on stage, doing the washboard thing as described, etc. That all said - it is expensive and we won't be going again for a couple of years. Once was great but the cost makes it a once every couple of years activity for us.

Every trip our family makes the "HDDR pilgrimage". WE love it as it entertains everyone from my parents to my kids. Somewhat pricey, yes. But worth it.

Why else would it still be playing 2-3 times a day for THIRTY FIVE years?!

It's an all-inclusive (beer and sangria) all-you-care-to-eat meal with an old "Vaudeville" type show. Lots of crowd interaction. It's great old-fashioned fun.

Considering tip, beer/sangria and entertainment is included in the price, I think it's fair value for what you're getting.

It is a bit spendy yes, but definately worth it. My husband does not like musicals and shows like that usually but he loved this one. So much in fact that he was the one that suggested we do it again this trip.

My DFIL is the same way . . . he hates going to the big church services at the holidays because there's "too much singing".

BUT . . . he loved the Hoop Dee Doo Revue so much so that they have been once with us and TWICE on trips without us!

I agree with Rob in that when you add the entertainment, meal, tip AND the beer and sangria, it really works out to be not so bad of a deal.

Another two thumds up for the Revue. Yes, it's pricey, but what at Disney isn't? It's very entertaining and a lot of fun
