Re: Vow Renewals at WDW We used Gifts Of A Lifetim and it was wonderful! DH surprised me with it - it was a scavenger hunt leading me to the Wishing Well by Cinderella's Castle where DH re-proposed, then a ceremony custom written for us using details DH had provided. All of it caught in camera and we were given the film to be developed! I can't recommend Jane and her Pixies enough - they were wonderful!

Re: Vow Renewals at WDW Oh this sounds so beautiful!! My husband has always told me he would love to renew our vows. That sounds like a fairytale! Not to pry, but was GoL really expensive?

Re: Vow Renewals at WDW It was a little pricey but I thought well worth it. Our package cost around $250 - $275. It included laminated clues in wooden Disney frames (3) which were given to me by 2 seperate "pixies", a laminated copy of our ceremony and the film. Plus the services of Jane and her pixies in organizing and creating the event. Money well spent in my opinion! We did pay to have the film developed when we got home as well.

Re: Vow Renewals at WDW Oh, this whole thing sounds fabulous! DH and I are going to Disney World to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary this December and I adore the idea of surprising him with something like this. Obviously I have to contact these Gifts of a Lifetime folks. I can't wait to see the expression on DH's face. Joy

| Re: Vow Renewals at WDW Yes, yes, do a vow renewal!!! We just did this a couple of weeks ago (no trip report, but coming...I promise). We celebrated our 20th anniversary--just us and our two daughters--ages 13 and 9. We had the ceremony at the wedding pavillion, and "reception" on a veranda at GF, complete with violinist, cake, etc. etc. It was even more beautiful inside the pavillion than I had imagined, and the ceremony was really wonderful. This was my husband's idea last year after we saw the travel channel special on the Grand Floridian. He had to talk me into it (what was I thinking when I hesitated??!?!). I am SO happy we did this. Fairy tale Weddings makes everything very easy and they even throw in a few surprises along the way (I'd tell, but that would ruin your fun). After we chose the minister (Rev Jack Day) he sent us several options for a ceremony (vows, prayers, etc). I used some of the suggestions, but also incorporated parts from our original wedding ceremony. It is really so wonderful to say the vows again and know the love that is behind them. It was a very special ceremony for the four of us (plus, we got to get all dressed to the nines). I would highly recommend it to anyone considering. Our professional pictures and videotape should be here any time. Really, they do a beautiful job...and you'll get to feel like Cinderella! | Re: Vow Renewals at WDW Hi Maureen We got married with an Intimate Wedding package back in December 1996. As luvmycastle said, the Fairy Tale Wedding folks make it all really easy and stress free for you. It was the most magical day of our lives (along with the birth of our Shane of course ) and I'll never forget it. We had a very similar day as luvmycastle - Rev. Jack Day did our ceremony (wonderful man!), followed by a champagne and cake reception on a verandah at GF where our solo violinist led us in our first dance as husband and wife - to the theme from Beauty and the Beast Later on that evening, we hosted a reception dinner for our guests at Narcoosees which was capped off by the MK fireworks and the music piped into the restaurant Do the vow renewal! You so won't regret it! |

Re: Vow Renewals at WDW Yes, it was a Disney package and photographer. We had originally booked it as the vow renewal, room, and ultimate park hopper pases for the two of us. However, when the discount codes came out, we called and were able to separate the vow renewal out. We did the room separately (at the discounted price) and bought park hopper tickets. It saved lots of $$. The photographer and videographer were both Disney--makes things very simple because it's easy to arrange and they have access where others don't (i.e., the videographer uses the hidden cameras in the wedding pavillion so there aren't big cameras out during the ceremony). The package we chose included a discount for combining the photography and video and came with an album of 40 pictures. Kirsten from fairytale weddings was wonderful and easy to work with. They included many requests (like finding the type of rose used in my original bouquet and matching the rest of the flowers to our dresses), etc. It was really lovely.

Re: Vow Renewals at WDW I went to a Disney wedding, so as a guest -- it was awesome! Lori was married at the Pavilion by Rev. Jack Day. (Anyone seeing a pattern?) It was gorgeous, she was gorgeous, it all ran much smoothly than my wedding -- those coordinators are GOOD! Lori had about 20 guests, and did the package in between the Intimate and Custom. (Where you can have up to 30 people.) It was on a Thursday afternoon, the reception was at Citricous. She used Disney flowers, cake and photography. And had characters at the reception. Her package had to cost $10,000. (Disney requirements.) Plus a little bit on the extras, like the favors, which were non-Disney.
