| I know I've read in a few posts about people who have sent letters complimenting CMs who made their visits magical, but none of my searches have turned up those posts. So.... can anybody tell me where to send such a letter? (I'd prefer to send e-mail so if you've got an e-mail address, that would be great, but I'll send snail mail if needed!) Thanks for your help!!

| Thanks!! I sent the e-mail tonight. Just out of curiosity..... Do you know if the CMs ever see the letters (or find out that someone mentioned them) , or does it just get copied to their files? Either way, it felt good to let somebody know about two great CMs!

| CMs do find out about the letters. I don't know if they always see each one. Disney actually has recognition programs, based on how many positive guest compliments managemenet receives about a CM within a certain period of time. So, these things don't just get buried in an employee's file - Disney is actively keeping track. The President of WDW even publishes a newsletter for CMs that reprints selected guest testimonials, among other things.

| I asked a CM if they hear about letters that people have written about them and he said that they do. They get into a drawing for gas cards or movie tickets and etc.

| I sent an e-mail regarding the photo below (Cinderella putting the glass slipper on our DD) to thank the photopass photographer for capturing such a magical memory of our DD's first trip. The response I received mentioned the photog being entered in a drawing to win movie tickets. I hope he won them because he sure gave us a great memory. |

Good for you! I think it's important to compliment good (or GREAT) behavior and I always make a point of noting the date, time, and location I encountered the CM. I also give out CM appreciation cards to the CMs directly so they know they did a great job. Eileen

| Tiggerbelle and Statelady: Thanks for posting on this topic at sharing the guest relations email. We had an amazing encounter with a CM after my son tripped and jammed his fingers on a metal strip/door stopper thing. At first, I was concerned that they might be broken, and then just sprained. A CM working at the Farmer's Market came over and showered attention on Alex for a good 10 minutes while I was holding an ice pack on his fingers/hand. I had forgotten that I wanted to send off an email........so THANK you!!! Email sent! |

| If you are actually in "the world" when a CM does something special, you can go to guest services and ask for a CM appreciation card. It is the size of a post card, you fill in the details and leave it with guest services. I have left 2 ...one for a lady at AK for making my son's B-day a special, and for a young lady at MK, for making my daughter's night better after she had stitches. They route those cards to the employee's file.

| If it's anything like the park I work at, they hear about it! And I can guarantee, making the day of a guest makes our day as well as yours!

| Wow! Disney has impressed me yet again! I just got a call from WDW Guest Services thanking me for taking the time to send an e-mail. The CM on the phone wanted me to know how much they appreciated the feedback I sent, that my e-mail would be placed in the files of the CMs I complimented, and that those CMs would be recognized for the praise I sent. All of this could have been said in a reply e-mail, but I really appreciated the personal phone call -- it made my boring day a little more magical!

| This is one thing Disney is good at - recognizing CMs spreading magic! ![]() As a mom of cms, I know that letters and emails do make a difference in a cm's day! ![]() DS#1 Luke has been entered many times in the drawings for the gas, movie, and other treats. When he came home from his CP, he had copies of notes that guests and managers had written about him. ![]() Plus... He was awarded 30 Disney Dollars and a CM award during his CP at Yacht/Beach Club for his service and spreading magic. I'll never forget that phone call! He was ecstatic! And mom was very proud of him. ![]() So thank you for taking the time to let WDW know when cms are doing good!

I was tickled pink that these three special CMs got the recognition they so deserved. DH also recieved a phone call from someone thanking him for taking the time to write the letter. (for some reason, Disney has HIS cell number in their files instead of mine I encourage anyone who has had a great encounter with a CM to take the time to send an email or write a letter about these hard working people who try so hard to create a little magic for us. Trust me, it will make their day!
