MNSSHP - How many tickets sold?

I just read that Halloween night is sold out. Does anyone know how many tickets are sold for these hard ticket events?

For party nights? I thought the number was more like 5k of party tickets sold. The average daily attendance is more like 25k at the MK isn't it?
Eileen

UPDATE: Just looked up TEAs report on attendance and the "average" MK attendance is around 40k (if you take the total attendance reported and divide it by 365.) I'm sure different seasons report quite a wide range of "average" attendances. Guess I was totally wrong in my thinking, but the 5k has been reported on many websites and I was going by them...

Just for fun...Do a little math.

Adult ticket price $48.95 x 20,000 tickets=$979,000
Child ticket price $42.95 x 20,000 tickets=$859,000

This means that on party nights the MK brings in close to a MILLION on admission alone!! WOW!

PS: You can count me in with the party payers! I love the special party nights!

by most accounts, the MK sees a minimum of 30K guests every day of the year. i've done the math in other threads, i don't want to do it again. it's a reasonable number though.

the maximum capacity is estimated to be around 90-100K

the number i actually know of for parties is 25K, but estimates have grown higher in the past couple of years.

of course they don't sell out most nights.

We attended MNSSHP on a Sunday last year. A CM told us that only 12,000 tickets were sold for that night. He referred to it as an "empty park." My family and I were thrilled with the empty park and partied right up until midnight. I hope it didn't spoil us for future parties!

I think sold out is 25k, but they allow some special purchases after they reach that point . . .concierge and whatnot

Like most replies to this question, I don't know the exact number. However, we went on the last night of the party last year. We bought out tickets the morning of the party and when we entered the MK around 5 pm, sold out signs had been posted. At times it seemed we had the park to ourselves. It was a great event.

I always thought it was 25K. But it's one of those things - does any of us really know? On sold-out nights (which usually are Halloween night and weekends), I find the crowd level heavier, but still workable. Then after the first parade and fireworks - it feels like a ghost town at times! It is always a fun night - even when it's sold out!

Your numbers seem very reasonable, Brad. I think I'll ignore what I've read elsewhere and adjust my thinking to the parties having 20-25k in them. (Luckily, I've only gone during low-crowd seasons and the parties have had extremely light crowds. Which, now that I think about it, probably solidified my misconceptions. )
