In Room Babysitting I was wondering how the expierences were using the in-room babysitting. My kids are 2 1/2 y/o and 9 months and very active. My husband and I have PS for Vic and Al's and want to use the sitting to go out. Do they only sit at nighttime? Thanks Meagan

Re: In Room Babysitting Hi Meagan I used Fairy Godmothers for the first time this June and loved them. My son is 2 1/2 and super active and had never been left with anyone but family. Margherite came with a bag of toys - and an umbrella for me since it was pouring - and was so wonderful and warm - I now refer to her as Mary Poppins whenever I tell anyone about her Fairy Godmothers will watch your children day or night, and will even accompany you to the parks if you feel you need an extra pair of hands (or you and DH want to ride the big rides together). I highly recommend them - ask for Margherite if you decide to use them, such a doll!

Re: In Room Babysitting ive never used a babysitting service, but it occurred to me that you should make sure that any service(even one through the parks/hotels) does through background checks and everyone is bonded and insured. We can never be to careful nowadays w/our most precious cargo. I hopeyou find something that works well for you!

Re: In Room Babysitting Disney now contracts with "KidsNite Out" for their in room babysitting. They are available 24 hours a day. I'm not where I can get to the number right now, but if you call CRO they will give KidsNite Out's local number. You can make ressies with them 30 days in advance. They are licensed and bonded and bring age appropriate toys, etc with them. They will even take your child to the park, providing you pay for the sitter's admission. In our case, they are doing to take the the 4 year olds and 9 year olds (2 of each) to the Fort Wilderness Campfire the two evenings we will be using them. There is a 4 hour minimum with an $8 transporation fee. If they sitting starts before 8:00 the price is slightly cheaper than if it starts after. Therefore, we are starting our sitting at 7:30 both evenings, even though we will not be going out until a little later. When I called to make the ressie, I inquired what would happen if our transporation back from Pleasure Island was late, but they said not to worry. They have a definite start time, but the end time is open ended. I needed to provide a credit card number at the time of the booking and this card will be charged after each evening out. They also indicated that two days before the actual times, I needed to call them back to give them the room (or in our case the cabin number) because without that information, Disney would not let them on the property.
