Illuminations cruise

Does anyone know the likelihood of cancelations for the Illuminations cruise? I called for my honeymoon trip in November (didn't call 90 days out because I wasn't sure it would work for our budget), and they are all booked up. Further, I found out they don't have a waiting list. It's luck of the draw in that if someone cancels and you happen to call, you win. I sent them an e-mail suggesting some form of a wait list. As it is, I will have to call each week to see if there has been a cancelation.

Re: Illuminations cruise

I haven't heard of people getting cancellations by phone, but I'm sure it could happen as people do have to cancel trips and change plans around occasionally. Make sure you ask for every night of your trip so that you have a better chance of getting one.

I have heard of people getting on a boat because the party who reserved it didn't show up. The family was at the marina and asked about how to reserve a boat and learned that the people who reserved one for that night hasn't shown up yet and if they wanted to wait about 10 minutes, if they didn't show up, they could get a ride. It was purely a stroke of luck (and the boat was already paid for by the no-shows!).

Good luck with your quest for a boat. -HiddenMickey

Re: Illuminations cruise

did you consider a fireworks cruise instead? I tried for Illuminations but couldn't get one so we have a fireworks cruise booked. there are more boats available for the MK because there is more room to park them for the show. the lagoon has very limited baot parking, they can only fit 4 boats for the show. Re: Illuminations cruise

I am thinking of booking (or trying to book) the fireworks cruise. Only catch is that WDW hasn't posted the fireworks schedule for November. I wasn't sure if fireworks were set off every night or not at the MK.
