| You won't get one. There was something in the application that said you will only get an email if you are accepted to part two. So your thanks but no thanks is a big fat

| A little background from the problems with the "thanks but no thanks" emails during last year's application process: In 2007, Disney said they would not be contacting those not moving on -- it was on the application page last year (and this year too.) Then, they ended up sending "thanks but no thanks" emails anyway to those that applied during the 2007 process. Because there were thousands of people being sent emails, it was a PR nightmare for Disney when ISPs dumped the emails because they "looked like" spam, or when company filters flushed them, or when individual email filters blocked them, and also when Disney.com profiles were set so that it appeared the guest didn't want to receive emails from Disney -- there were so many people unhappy that they heard nothing, so many worried that they *had* gone on to Round 2, but never got any email, so many people mad and hurt and confused. I think Disney felt extremely bad that they had hurt the feelings of such a large population of their best customers.So, with 20/20 hindsight of last year's application process, they must have decided that there was so much angst and upset people that it would be better to stick with their statement that they wouldn't be sending "thanks but no thanks" emails. Maybe, in a few weeks, they *will* send out something... but I'd tend to doubt that.  Eileen PS - in case anyone missed what I relayed about the Round 2'ers - They have to respond to the email telling them they had gone forward. If the folks at Disney haven't heard from them, they will (or they did last year) contact them using the phone number in their Disney.com account to let them know. Members of the '08 Mom's Panel confirmed that the folks at Disney had, indeed, contacted everyone asked to go forward with Round 2. So, if for some reason you didn't get your email or it got deleted, they should still contact you with enough time to complete the essays for Round 2.
