| How to press Disney rain ponchos? A long time ago someone posted how they took their expensive Disney World rain ponchos and put them in the dryer to release all the wrinkles. They then refolded them and reused them. I just found our ponchos from about 9 years ago and they are all wrinkled up and unpackable. Does anyone remember what setting to use and for how long? Thanks so much!

| 9 year old vinyl will probably not like being tossed in the dryer.... But, if you wanted to try, this would be my suggestion:
Once they are completely cool, you can try to fold them up again. Good luck - I hope they hold up for you! Eileen PS - remember that Disney will replace any of their ponchos if they pop a tear or are damaged... Just take them to the nearest merchandise counter and ask for a replacement.

| I never tried "drying" mine, but when at WDW we are careful to hang them either on the clothes line in the room or over a chair or something so they can dry off. When dry we fold them again right away and put them in our bags for the day. When I get home I put them in a vacuum seal bag and suck all the air out of them until the next trip. This makes a nice lil brick of plastic ( 6 ponchos ) in the bottom of my suitcase, but it also leaves me with $36.00 more for souveniers. P.S. I got my very first poncho from the trash can in the ladies room one night. It had stopped raining and the purchaser said "I'm not carrying this wet thing around all night!" I watched her drop it in, then followed hor right to the bin and pulled it out. There was a small tear right where the hood connects with the poncho. That's when I found out the stores would replace them. The CM cleaning the bathroom told me to take it right to the nearest cashier and exchange it for a new one. Wa La! New poncho and I was dry the rest of the trip! |
