Something Special for Moose's 16th???

While Moose is busy playing with his X-box Live lately I am pretty safe discussing his birthday here.

We will be heading down to WDW on his b-day to spend the weekend at POFQ. Other than that the only plan I have is dinner on Friday, Feb 27th at Cali Grill. Which was his 2nd choice. V&A was first, I said no way! He is a big foodie, bless his heart and my purse.

I need ideals on any other surprise or something special. I have been asking him about cakes but a simple Mickey head cake has turned into a huge creation. He said "does it come in red velvet cake with cream cheese filling?" That continued with three or seven layers. And then where can I see pictures of other cakes? So, there will only be 3 of us, a 10" cake will be too big.

Then he asked for a Segway tour. Oh, and there was "forget the Disney trip, just buy me that new Toyota Tacoma." We constantly remind him that he should be saying: "I need a job so I can buy myself......"

So this is what I am dealing with his dreams and my budget.

DH loves the segway tours - especially the off road one at FW. How about taking him out to ice cream at Beaches & Cream or ? instead of the cake? How about a buffet somewhere during the weekend to fill him up?

DH and DDad did the Segway "Around the World" tour in EPCOT. They loved it. It was about $90...

Call the Boardwalk Bakery . . . you never know, maybe they make a desert that is red velvet . . . like a cup cake (or maybe you can give them the idea to make a red velvet cupcake!)

Are you sure he's not teasing you, trying to make things hard with the cake request? And the car? (Although, I imagine I asked my parents for a car for my 16th, too - knowing that I wouldn't be getting one)

I think the segway tour sounds like fun! That way, he gets to drive!

Also, I'd suggest a Ride-Along at the Richard Petty Driving Experience, but I'm not sure how that will influence his driving out on the regular roads. But my DF-I-L and DB-I-L can't stop talking about their experience there (although - they got to drive the cars)

Thanks for the ideals. Will probably do a Segway. Will have to call the Boardwalk bakery also. He already said he wants a "Kitchen Sink." He is way ahead of me.

No Richard Petty for him until he is MUCH older! DH just did a driving experience this christmas.
