| Input, Ideas, General Info Needed! Here's my dilemma: I have offered BFF and her two sons a trip to WDW with my family in March 2010. We'll be staying on our DVC points so the resort is "free" for them. She's a single mom and will have to foot the bill for airfare so I'm trying to cut other costs by doing as much as possible out of the parks. We're only going to be there for three nights (primarily to run the Princess Half-Marathon). What I'm looking for are your best "out of the parks" ideas that aren't super pricey. The boys are ages 8 and 6. Our home resorts are AKV and WL. Either are great for resort experiences, IMHO. I was thinking of doing one character breakfast in a resort. We've all tried CM, but isn't there a breakfast at the Beach Club? What's it like? What are some of the Ft. Wilderness things to do? I'm not too familiar with DTD options, either. What are some thoughts? TIA!

| Cape May Cafe has a great character breakfast! There's a bunch to see and do(and shop) at DTD. We recently went up in that big ol' balloon! The cost was $68 for three adults($16 each) and two kids under 9($10 each). At Fort Wilderness, there's play areas, chess and checkers at Trails End(still the best value on property), pony rides, the small museum in the horse barn at the TriCircle D, you can canoe, fish, pedal boat, ride bikes. Lots of stuff. You could also go play miniature golf.

| We really enjoyed the character breakfast at the Cape May Cafe. It was a lot of fun with some good food. ![]()

| Are you planning to go to the parks while there? You may get better ticket prices thru Mousesavers newsletter link for Undercover Tourist. Mousesavers.com also has many ideas for non-WDW attractions. What about going to Sea World? Or Universal? I assume you will be renting a car if you're planning on off-site activities.

| Fort Wilderness has a free event on most evenings, involving a campfire, a character meet, and a movie. You can evidently buy a s'mores kit for the campfire, but I think everything else is no charge. We've planned to go twice but haven't actually made it, so I'm no expert, but it sounds like lots of fun!

| Both Jambo house & Kidani have activities for kids (of all ages) throughout the day, so upon arrival check those out. I'm not sure how far in advance they are posted, but I think I have them from our trip a few weeks ago. And you can do the activities at both Jambo or Kidani no matter which one you're staying at.
