| Epic Mickey I just got an email from Amazon about a new Wii game called Epic Mickey. It has you take the Mickey from the 30s and 40s and he has to go one some mission which is full of retired Disney Characters you dont see anymore. Sounds neat!!!

| the basic premise is that there's this place called the Cartoon Wasteland where all of Disney's old and imagined creations go to die. It's a very lovely place and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is basically king, but in the real world, as Mickey's success grows, he does something which basically transforms the Wasteland into an awful place. To retaliate, Oswald concocts a plan with the Mad Doctor and they create an army of villains which includes animatronic versions of Donald and Goofy and they bring Mickey into the Wasteland. The player controls Mickey by erasing bad things with paint thinner and creating new things with paint. If he chooses to anyway. Mickey can be as good or as evil as the player wants. and then there's a super villain called the Phantom Blot (who has always existed in Disney lore, but not quite on this level). They actually claim this game was the whole reason Bob Iger even traded Al Michaels to NBC Universal to get Oswald back. more info and photos etc at Epic Mickey | StitchKingdom.com

| I'm getting it. A rumor is that it also has a lot of theme park attractions in it, such as the castle, HM, splash, etc .. it's THE wdw game of this gaming generation.. based on the concept art. First, in the NES era- adventures in the magic kingdom then there were Magical Racing Quest for the playstation, then the Kingdom Hearts series for ps2 and DS, and eventually Ps3(it feels a lot like Fantasmic in the original).

| the original concept art which was found online (and shown above in the link) does feature specific WDW things. but the back cover of the November issue of GameInformer shows it's a small world which looks more like from Disneyland. In any case, during the press conference, they did say it had a haunted mansion type attraction in it, but it was called something else. so it's not the WDW you know, it's a forgotten/abandoned theme park in the Cartoon Wasteland

| This is probably Disney's strongest story concept in a video game. I have felt that Kingdom Hearts is to repetitive and the other Disney Interactive games are aimed at younger audiences that doesn't fit the bill with the older audiences . This is great for many reasons its something gritty and innovative that will twist the whole Disney video game concept.

| My son was talking about the game. There is a feature article about it in this month's GameStop magazine.
