Question Another KTTW Question

I know that I have tried to explain my position before and it didn't come across right, so I'm going to try again.
When we go to the world in May, Margo and I want to be able to charge on the KTTW card. Can we get different charging priviliges on each card or are both tied to the same account? We each want to use separate credit cards and don't want to co-mingle these funds.
TIA
Beth

I asked this same questionw hen I checked into Pop Century this past October. The CM I spoke with said no, not at this time. He told me that sometime in the coming year all of the resorts will be getting an upgrade so that you CAN:
-Have different cards linked to different KttW cards
-Upgrade your park tickets to an AP at the resort

and a couple other things that sounded neat, but I can't remember at the moment. I don't know if you'll be able to do this by May, but it never hurts to ask.

Right now you can't, but they are working on it If your goal is to pay separately my suggestion would be to simply to use individual debit/credit/gift cards for purchases and not to have charging privileges on your KTTW cards.

When Wendy and I were there in May, we just asked for a print-out of all our spending on the last night and then worked it out between us. It's very easy to do, as everything you spend on the card is itemised.

it is technically possible if they set up your room as a share as if it were part of a convention. but probably not worth the hassle.

I've heard that you can, but you'd have to make such a fuss to get it done that it wouldn't be worth it to me.

When I've traveled with friends, we've just used your own credits cards for our personal expenditures. If we charge anything to the room, it's the tips of our meals that we're planning to split anyway.

Another option would be for one or both parties to use Disney Gift Cards for their spending instead of KTTW cards. The DGCs are replaceable if lost (as long as you have the original purchase receipt), and the remaining balance is printed on the receipt of everything you purchase with them, so tracking your expenses is not too difficult.

I would just use your personal credit cards to charge things and not your KTTW card.

Also remember your card is not actually charged for spending or additional expenses until checkout unless you hit the pre-set limits. You can give one card for charges and then pay them off before checkout however you like. You can get a printout of your charges at any time.

it's actually charged very early the morning of check-out, most likely before you wake up (especially considering there is no check-out process to speak of with a credit card on file). although room charging privileges continue for the entire day of check-out.

also, if you use the KTTW to purchase tickets, it's supposed to charge the card on file immediately.

When we were there with the kids, they put the charges on one card, but it doesn't transfer to the credit card until you are 1. either ready to leave or 2. you need to refresh your limit. At that time, you can go down to the desk and they can move the charges to whatever credit card you wish. It doesn't have to be to the credit card you leave on file. DS wanted all his charges moved to his card rather than have to repay us.

Hope that helps.

You can charge to your room and then settle up at the end with different cards, can't you?
