\"But, what are you going to *DO* there?\", said the DS CM about my solo trip... I was stunned! What am I going to *DO*??? See all the things *I* want to see, do all the things *I* want to do, and not once, *EVER* look over my shoulder to make sure I have all the DDs, not have *anyone* pulling on my shirt, and not roll my eyes when DH says that TTA is "dumb". That's just for starters!!! I told her about the Backstage Safari and the tour of Morocco and the art there, the new African art exhibit in the American pavilion, so many wonderful, civilized adult things to do in 2 very short days! I told her I might have to make a bi-annual event of it, if it goes well! ![]() So, if you were going all by yourself, what would be on your list of must-dos that might not make it to a family/friend's list?

Re: \"But, what are you going to *DO* there?\", said the DS CM about my solo trip... I would spend all afternoon at world showcase. Listen to all the story tellers, hear all the musical groups, and snack on things other than funnal cakes. I would have to bother getting masks stamped or trying to keep a two year old entertained. My husband always takes the baby for at least on afternoon so I can do things that only intrest me. This year it's Wild by Design tour. The only problem is I feel so guilty the whole time and wonder what fun things they are doing. I guess I won't have a solo trip until Wyatt leaves for College! In 17 years!!! Leigh

Re: \"But, what are you going to *DO* there?\", said the DS CM about my solo trip... If I were going solo, I would spend a whole day in the world showcase. I would go through each country slowly, see all the shows, look in each store and sample food from every country.

Re: \"But, what are you going to *DO* there?\", said the DS CM about my solo trip... I would go do the spa, for the WHOLE DAY! I would buy a bunch of balloons and pass them out to kids, just to see their faces. I would go to the "learn to sail" classes at GF I would sit the lobby of the resort and "peolple watch" I would stay at one of the Deluxe Resorts that no-one else wants to stay at (WL, Y&BC) I would stop and watch all the traveling entertainers in the parks that no-one else wants to stop for.

Re: \"But, what are you going to *DO* there?\", said the DS CM about my solo trip... DH and I actually take one day to ourself on our September trip. He plays golf, I go to DTD and shop, eat a hot fudge sundae for lunch, lounge around the pool, and/or explore some of the other resorts. It makes for a nice break.

Re: \"But, what are you going to *DO* there?\", said the DS CM about my solo trip... On my list would be the spa (which luckily I'm doing in December with Maureen ) as that's never going to be on DH's list and lots of shopping, as well as all those rides I love that DH isn't keen on - It's a Small World, Winnie the Pooh etc....

Re: \"But, what are you going to *DO* there?\", said the DS CM about my solo trip... Hmmm.. I would do all of the tours.... I would ride TTA, Buzz Lightyear and Space Mountain over and over again I would spend an entire day at World Showcase taking my time, shopping, eatting and drinking I would go to the spa (although I am not sure Cheryl would forgive me for not waiting to go with her) And I would lounge at the pool and spa at the resort and read a good book. I would eat at all the places I want to eat I would spend an entire afternoon shopping at DTD (this from a woman that really does not like to shop).

[/ QUOTE ] That would be so much fun! When I went solo around the parks in January -- I spent a day at AK, the one park we never spend enough time at! I watched LK and Tarzan till my heart was content! I even saw more than one band on the same day for Tarzan. That was !If I ever go solo again - a must will be one of the tours, but I'm not sure which one. It would be fun picking one out! |

Re: \"But, what are you going to *DO* there?\", said the DS CM about my solo trip... I had the oppurtunity to visit Epcot the other day by myself. It was glorious!!!!! There were absolutey NO LINES, so I walked right onto Test Track and Mission:Space (two rides I can't take Alex on). Then I went and had a coffee near the fountain and RELAXED for 30 minutes. Then I slowly walked around World Showcase...stopping to shop when I wanted to, eating what I wanted to, just relaxing when I wanted to. Then I watched Illuminations from a bench, while I ate a sweet pretzel from Norway. It was heavenly!!!! Solo trips rock! Kelly
