Boardwalk Hi all Ok I have never been to boardwalk. Tell me about it and tell me if I should take time from the parks to check it out. If so should I go during the day or at night? Also how would you get there if you were staying at Riverside? Sorry so many questions, but thanks for your help. Marylee

Re: Boardwalk I think it depends on how much time you have. We always check the Boardwalk out - partially because we're usually there for a minimum of two weeks, so we've got the time and also because we're usually staying at the Beach Club Villas, which are just opposite. I think it's certainly worth going to the Boardwalk at least once to see how you like it. We usually tend to go in the late afternoon / early evening and just walk along, sampling the shops and taking in the atmosphere. To get there, you can either walk through the International Gateway (between France and England in Epcot) and take a boat (it's the second stop) or walk there. Alternatively, you could take the boat from MGM - and it's the third stop. You can use either route to return to Riverside, taking the bus back from MGM or Epcot. Another alternative would be to take a bus from the Boardwalk to Downtown Disney and then take another bus / the boat back to Riverside. I hope that helps.

Re: Boardwalk Marylee, DH and I went there at night and loved it. Just beautiful views of the lights on the water. We also found it very romantic to walk hand in hand on the boardwalk. Always fun to watch the various performers. Take the boat across to the Yacht and Beach Club. We had dinner at Beaches and Cream. We had a rental car and drove from POFQ. With the parking permit from POFQ we were able to park in Boardwalk's lot for free.

Re: Boardwalk At night there's a piano bar called Jellyrolls and you can hear people singing as you go by. There are shops, ESPN restaurant, a bakery, Flying Fish, Spoodles, a surrey rental(I think they close before dark) it's a wonderful walk. I like to check out Boardwalk resort and Swan/Dolphin resort while I'm walking around. We usually stay at Yacht Club so in the mornings before the kids get up, I grab some coffee and go on a walk. Have fun!

Re: Boardwalk We just got back from WDW on Wednesday night and we went to the Boardwalk on Tuesday night to meet some friends who were there for dinner (they live in FL). We took a boat from MGM after Fantasmic and then our friends drove us back to our resort but you could always get a taxi. The boardwalk was nice at night. We sat outside of the bakery having dessert and listening to the baseball game that was on the tv's at the ESPN Zone. It was very nice and relaxing.
