| Possible scam warning - UPDATE! Disney Photo Pass CD online? UPDATE - the nice lady that was contacted about this by phone, sent an email to Disney's PhotoPass. They have responded and this site IS an official site. Apparently it is a test and was only supposed to be availble for testing by the people that were contacted by Disney. Of course, with the message boards the way they are, she posted the link. So, the good news is that Disney is TESTING the online ordering of your PhotoPass CD! I am sure if all goes well, it will be available soon. That would be great because there are alot of people who just don't have the extra time on their vacations to stop at a kiosk and mess around with getting a CD burned at Epcot, GF or ToonTown. If you want the link, I will PM it to you, but I don't want to post it since it's only supposed to be for people contacted directly by Disney. Sorry about the false warnings, but better to be safe than sorry!! Just wanted to let everyone know, if you happen to get a link to get the Disney PhotoPass CD online, don't use it yet. There is a link out there I just checked out and it kind of looks like a Disney site, but the url is definately not something Disney would use. It uses the Disney copyright, but it just doesn't look official to my eyes and to others that have looked at it. It has been reported to Disney and I'll let you know if they confirm it is legit or not. If anyone has a lot of computer knowledge and wants to check it out at their own risk, I'll PM you the link. |

It's a "register123" site which is something I don't think Disney would ever use. It looks as if someone has figured out how to copy those images from Disney PhotoPass and they are just downloading them to a disc for $99.95. The woman who discovered this said she actually got a phone call about it. I find it very sketchy. |

According to one of our website-savy fellow PassPorters, definately stay away from this particular website if you happen to get notified that it exists. You may get an email or a phone call about it, it's a "register123" website, so keep your eyes out for it and don't be fooled. I hope Disney nails these scam artists/hackers butts to the wall! |
