(Can't wait for mine-but I don't get DME, I get my cruise ones and travel tagless after that (Expect them next week) . DCL gets me to resort post cruise, and then DME takes me to airport departure, but don't need tags there)

If you bought your plane ticket prior to November 5th, you are exempt from the first bag charge. The prior policies (which still stand) are:

- If you purchased your ticket on or before July 30, you are exempt from a first bag charge and are subject to a $25 second bag fee.

- If your purchased your ticket on or after July 31st for travel after August 5th, you are exempt from the first bag fee but subject to a $50 second bag fee.

The new policy is: If you purchased your ticket after November 6th for travel after December 5th, you are subject to a $15 first bag fee and a $25 second bag fee.

As long as you purchased your ticket before Nov. 5th, you are good to go!

I see that you are coming from Oregon . . . as I am. Are you flying out of Portland? (I will be flying out of Eugene. )

ETA: Now that everyone is starting to receive their DME stuff, it shouldn't be too long until DrDolphin gets my stuff and forwards it over here to me!

Dopey Girl - small world - leaving from Eugene on Horizon/Alaska's dark am flight to PDX to change to US Airways (America Worst) on the 10th. I volunteered my seat flights ago and got a free round trip. That's why I'm not checking a bag. I've had nothing but challenges with them and figure that even though I obtained the ticket months ago - it was "free" and not "purchased" before Nov. 5th and they will most likely want to impose a checked bag fee. Besides I'd have to go out of the security area to check it and then back through the security area to get to the gate. Not worth the hassle at 7 in the morning. I'm sure I won't have had enough coffee by that time to deal with it. Thanks for the info though.

Ah . . . yeah, they more than likely would charge a bag fee. Yuck.

I will be on Delta's super early "0 dark thirty" flight to Salt Lake City on the 10th . . . Hopefully there aren't any issues with my flight and my stroller and car seat and what not for DS . . . because that is WAY to early for me to be able to get sufficient caffeine in me in order to deal with "issues".
