What thrilling news!
My little IVF miracle is now a big girl of 11. I owe my enjoyment of everything Disney to her.
Take care!

| Re: An Amazing Journey: Ch. 10 -- Breaking the News Ahhh...this explains everything!!! I was wondering about your next "big adventure" countdown, but kind of assumed it was a Disney related thing...which I suppose Alexander is, in a way!
And...now I know why the Disneyland Passporter has been on the back burner!
I'm very excited to hear the growing details of your pregnancy, and it's great that you are sharing the story with all of us...
Hey...ya know...the Passporter concept would work REALLY WELL for a book on having a baby, (as if you hadn't already thought of that)...passpockets for each month, checklists for what you need in the nursery, charts to record how you are feeling during the pregnancy...this way those slug moments that you have been feeling are actually research! |

| | Guest | Re: An Amazing Journey: Ch. 10 -- Breaking the News I too had tears in my eyes reading your story. I went through some of the same things that you have (I had 7 miscarriages). We tried for 8 years to have a baby with no success. I finally went off of everything and decided to be happy with the life that I had with my wonderful husband. Six months later, I went to the doctor thinking that I had the worst flu in world history. Turns out that I was pregnant. Now here it is 7 years later and I have a terrific perfectly healthy little girl. She was a preemie-9 weeks early (she weighed just a little over 3 pounds)but you sure couldn't tell now and even then she had no problems and only spent a week and a half in the hospital. They were expecting worse but she started putting on weight from day one and she was out of there!!
Congrats and I can't wait to hear more!!!

| Re: An Amazing Journey: Ch. 10 -- Breaking the News [b ]CONGRATULATIONS!![/b]
Your story is so touching and from the heart. Alexander will love reading all about your adventures as parents to be!!
From a mom of 3 boys (almost 11, almost 9 & 5), having a boy really is a lot of fun (they are greatly outnumbered by girl cousins)! They LOVE Disney, meeting characters AND princesses, etc., etc.
Get lots of rest! My pregnancy tip: DON'T point your toes when you stretch in the morning!! It will hurt like crazy...stretch your toes toward you and push your heels back (from a woman who's felt the pain )
I hope to meet you all some time!! |
