How much??? I noticed a lot of us keep spare change jars in efforts of saving money for trips. I also throw in $1 bills with an occasional $5 bill when I am feeling a little adventurous. For my latest trip, I've been saving since February 27th (day I got back from DL). I did a preliminary count and I have $106.24. Not bad for it being a little over three months. How much do you think you have in yours???

Re: How much??? I just started my change only jar less than 2 weeks ago. I already have $24.56. Not too bad! Last year we saved over $200 in change over a 6 month period. Then I also save pop bottle money too.

Re: How much??? I never accumulate that much. I wrap pennies before I go and have just enough for my Mousekeeping envelopes!

Re: How much??? Good question, I need to count mine actually it is now full. I usually get around $130 or so and that is with the bucket not full. I use one of the popcorn buckets you get at WDW, I love using that for my change

Re: How much??? Last year, I saved a couple of hundred, but I started adding singles toward the end of the year esp for tips. Suze Orman says you should never spend change, only save it, so I tried. This year, things have been so tight that I've *had* to spend it. I'm hoping that I can start saving it again soon...just 19 months until our next trip!!!

| Re: How much??? I put all of my spare change into the jar every night and rarely spend change. I call it my Vegas gambling money. In a year my ex and I used to save $200-$300. I'll be cashing mine in this Saturday before my next trip, but since I've been alone this last year, I'm hoping for $100-$150. It's amazing to me how fast it adds up. | Re: How much??? We saved coins and spare dollars as well as any money found in the laundry etc in a big water jug... for our April 2005 trip. After about 18 months we had over $200 in bills and a total of $1185!!!! We started over the week after our trip, and the jar is about 1/3 full. (less dollar bills though... this year has been a little tighter financially). The best part is that my stepson is involved now too. When he wants to cash in his coins to buy things, we'll put his coins in the Disney Jar, and give him the dollars out of our wallets. |

Re: How much??? My change jar usually ends up being used for the kids' lunches. I did, however, open a separate savings account for Disney. My (very generous) boss now reimburses me for fuel each month and I TRY to put at least 1/4 of that into the savings account each month. I have @ $300 and hope to have at least another $300 before we leave!

Re: How much??? Now that DH has to buy his way through a lot of tolls (and GAS) we haven't been saving very well. Typically in the past, though, we can count on $225-$500 from the change jar. It's very .

Re: How much??? We save our change (can't seem to swing the dollar bills) and last year we had about $100....we started as soon as we got back from our last trip and we've got until Dec. so hopefully we'll have even more. I do manage to also figure out how many $1s and $5s I'll need for Mousekeeping envelopes and tips and set those aside so I don't have to worry about those either. Every little bit does definitely help!
