Good Rate of Return on Investment? What is considered a good rate of return on an investment/savings/CD? Is 5%? 8%? 10%? considered "good"?

Re: Good Rate of Return on Investment? On a CD or account that is frozen by time 5% would be good. Most regular savings are now very low, like 1.85%. If you are talking stocks or funds now those could be anything. Susan

Re: Good Rate of Return on Investment? I think I'm up to getting 4.15% on my savings account with ING (where I keep my vacation money). Regular savings accounts are very low. ING's CDs are around 4-5%

Re: Good Rate of Return on Investment? Thanks for the input guys. I saw some CD rates on this site: http://www.bankrate.com/msn/rate/high_home.asp They were over 5%, which I kind of thought might be decent, but was unsure.
