Staples office supplies has some school supplies on sale.

Boxes of pencils: 1 cent
folders with pockets and 2 prongs: 1 cent
personal pencil sharpeners: 1 cent
plastic 1" 3 ring binders: 25 cents

There are some other deals too.

I bought 15 folders, 3 pencil sharpeners, 4 binders, 3 boxes of pencils for around $1.25!!!

I also hear that Wal Mart has 10cent notebooks. I am off to check that out tomorrow.

Yes we have been to the wal-mart sale. The notebooks are 1 subject, spiral but have the preforated pages and holes for binders. In other words, just what I needed. I bought many. [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/announce.gif[/img]

We don't have a staples around us. I work at Walmart and the sale stuff is flying off the shelves. I put all the kids school supplies on layaway already.

Ours had limits on stuff and were completely out of things (and no rainchecks), just a heads up!

I got the same items as you! I teach, and having extras on hand is always nice, especially for $1.25!! They said that there were maximums per customer, but they were really nice and didn't mind DD (7yo) buying items as a customer too!!

I jumped on that sale on Monday. We have a Staples around the corner from my office. I bought 3 boxes of pencils, 15 folders, 4 binders, 6 plastic folders, twistable crayons and twistable colored pencils and 2 "special" folders (Villanova and St. Joe's) folders for DS9.

I don't have a clue what dd needs for next year. She will be moving into the Middle School and they didn't send anything home with what they would be needing. I wonder if the teachers you get all request different stuff once you hit middle school so you have to wait until school starts.

Thanks for the tip..I went in and picked up a few things today!!.I might go back and see if I can get some more pencils..Pencils vanish in our house..along with socks...

Thanks for the heads up on the sale. I went right out today and got everything that was on sale, we even went to walmart and got 30 notebooks. Things that usually cost me at least $200 for school supplies, cost me only $13.98 today!! Got to love it!!!!!

Our school has the school supply list online. Maybe check your school website and see if yours is there.
