Thanks Maggie. Since you first posted your back to school bargains, I've begun shopping too. I'm almost done with DS2's list. I just went each week and got the sale items. Crayola washable markers for .88 cents at Target this week. I buy extras so when in the middle of the year he comes home and needs new ones for school, he has them.

Unfortunately, DS1 in jr. hi doesn't get his supply list until the first week of school. That was a nightmare last year in 7th grade!

I bought my DD11 (who is in 6th grade) the school pack, so I don't even need to buy things for her. DD14 starts HS this year and I have NO clue what to buy for her. I don't think they have a list.

Anyway, I just bought stuff to have when they need it throughout the year.

DISNEY NOTE!!!! Kmart has their folders (the sturdier, "fashion" folders) 2 for $1. They have Tinkerbell ones (I bought all 6) and they have Pirates of the Caribbean Ones too.

Kmart was out of most of the good sale items. Although they told me they were getting more later that day. Office Depot had TONS of stuff in stock. That was my best store of the day. I got 6 packs of looseleaf paper 15cents each, 10 packs of crayola crayons 15cents each, 5 bottles of glue 20cents each, 4 packs of pencils 25 cents each, 2 packs of glue sticks (4 per pack) for $1 = all for $5.81 including tax!!

Also, Walgreens has book covers (stretchy) for $1 (normally $2.99) JUMBO size. Our kids are required to have these on their books and they sell them at the school for $4.99 each! I thought I had gotten a great deal on 10 of them but the cashier (an old man) ranted about how he never had to cover his books and he wouldn't buy them for his kids and its the schools responsibility for the books and he never wrote on his books when he was a kid, etc. etc. [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img] ) Kind of ruined my excitement on such a good deal. (If you only need the smaller, standard size covers, Kmart has those 2 for $1.)

Thanks for that list!!! Even us teachers have to go stock up on supplies at the beginning of the year!! And we LOVE a bargain!!

I bought some of the Office Depot glue sticks the other day - I was only going to buy one pack since I figured 4 would be enough. The cashier pointed out that if you only bought one pack they were regular price ($1.79). You had to buy two to get the sale price. Boy was I glad she pointed that out! I also stocked up on some of the 15 cent Crayola crayons - if nothing else, they'll be stocking stuffers!
