I heart Amazon!

11yo DD might have to have surgery on her foot before we go to WDW, so I had posted on a few boards about places to rent a comfy wheelchair. Someone on another board sent me a link to an Amazon deal...a $400 chair on sale for $85. SHIPPED! I was stunned and ordered it, thinking it was on clearance. I went back to look at it for measurements and it was back up to $400, so I started to worry that it was a price boo-boo and I was going to get the email telling me they'd cancelled it. Guess what showed up on my porch today??? YAY! Now, my mom won't have to rent a chair when we go if DD doesn't need it and if she does, we're all set! (not to mention for when I eventually have to have my knee replacement... ) Thank you, Amazon, for honoring your price (and for making a little wheelchair magic happen)

Way to go on the wheelchair. My dh needed a scooter a few years ago and we found one on Ebay for like $350 plus shipping. After we ordered it, like you we went back in and they were like $500 or $600. I don't know why the price went up but I was so glad we ordered when we did and didn't wait. It's now 3 years later and it's still up and running despite the low price.

How great is that! I hope you went back and gave big thanks to the person who pointed it out!

So, this brings up the matter of your DDs foot....did you take her to the docs? what did they say about it? Curious minds and all......

Yep, I sent her a HUGE cyber hug!

DD has an appointment on Wednesday (the podiatrist was running 3 weeks in scheduling, so I've had some time to continue the treatment). They told me if it was improving on it's own, to just cancel on Tuesday. It's been looking better, but I'll have been away for 4 days, so I'll have to see it on Sunday night. I think I'd feel better having a professional look at it anyway, esp since she's still gimping quite a bit.
